Rate this book
This dictionary will appeal to cricket buffs, both those already well-versed in the vocabulary of the game as well as newcomers to the sport. It not only defines the vocabulary of cricket but also provides examples of words in use taken from a wide variety of sources, ranging from 18th-century newspapers to contemporary biographers. Technical detail is provided in full, on matters such as the method of the reverse swing or the length of the bowling crease. Controversies old & new, such as bodyline bowling, sledging, & ball-tampering are discussed in detail, & developments in the game, from the 17th cent. are set in their social & historical context.

I've been following the Cricket World Cup and have been stumped by some of the terminology. It's pretty mystifying. Henceforth the Cricket Dictionary.
