Dropped unceremoniously into a world she knows nothing about, Michelle, as unlovable and bitter as she is, must team up with unexpected friends to find her way home across the mindscape that is Labyrinth. Twists and turns will teach that nothing is simple, even the very tropes baked into writing itself. Can she escape before becoming lunch to the Demons hunting her down, and can she learn that the greatest challenge of all... is to change?
Two magicians - the reasonably good Rothgo and the thoroughly evil Balor - are fighting over the source of Rothgo's power, the Nidus. Balor can't touch it until Rothgo is dead, so she's stolen it and hidden it in the past somewhere. Without it, Rothgo starts to weaken and die. But he finds three children - Terry, Helen and Phil - to help him and he sends them to hunt for it in different time periods through the Labyrinth. One long chase through the caves ensues. It's simply one chase after another, with no plot development or character awakenings. Adequate, but not enthralling.
