Very interesting dude! I’m woefully ignorant of most of the history and science contained in this work but it was helpful in my quest to be less ignorant. My ultimate goal is to understand magnetism and this book added some historical context to our current scientific understanding which was very nice. Didn’t know that this guy was vital to the invention of the telephone but now I do.

Science was not so developed when Elisha wrote this book. So there are a lot facts that might not be erroneous for a reader who knew better. but i liked how Elisha presented his ideas about this science. I can imagine how smart are the people in the old times.

The start is quite interesting and informative, but when you almost reach the half it becomes harder to read and understand. Maybe it could be that my knowledge of such things is not so advanced.
