Dixie Road #3
Dixie Road 3
The Joneses have finally managed to get away from the squalid Silver Creek squat, but unfortunately not Mr. Duchamp's hatred. The situation with the workers' strikes gets worse, and the formidable Ernest Pike is on the Jones's tail. The young Dixie Jones has already seen more than most her age, and her extraordinary experiences are certainly not over yet.

Still a great read. The drama piles up at a steady pace. The old era is done with style and you sense the emotions of all the main players in an unsteady time.
Violent, horrible times are shown with empathy in these books.

J'aime bien comme il arrive a parler du rêve américain comme si c'était une fantaisie. Cette BD parlé beaucoup de la pauvreté et des mauvaises conditions de travail pendant la période de récession aux USA.
