Rich Descriptions in a Gritty Western Setting

Tuohy seems to thrive in this setting and as a result his words paint vivid pictures and bring the reader into the setting, letting them see the motion of the characters, the wind rolling through the landscape, and smell the stench of cigar smoke stinging at their nostrils.
