Not really romance. Some erotica in there but not enough to label the entirety as such. I'm not really a fan of the mystery genre but this had distinct puzzle pieces that needed to fit together, to make it a whole. To me, that is what mystery writing does.

The sexual scenes lacked genuine abiding love for the most part but there was warmth and affection to spare so it made it more attractive than just raw sex. Like the whipped cream, nuts and cherry that top a sundae, the erotica wasn't essential to the story. But just like the sundae, it made it taste much more decadent, and therefore, better.
