Lucy completed her nemesis and the journey through train compartments. Now it is time for her to confront the larger challenge of survival between humanity, sustainability, and artificial intelligence. Will Lucy be successful in facing the impending struggle?
This book has been one of the most interesting reads in recent days. After all, nowadays writers only prefer writing what is saleable. However, for readers like us who wants to read something that is good, not much option is available. This book has a very interesting plot with some good thrill and suspense. The writing style is good and the pace is fine. The title and cover are intriguing and exciting. I liked this book and I recommend it for sure.
Lucy Meets Artificial Intelligence by Anandajit Goswami is like a breeze on the parched Indian literary scene. It is strikingly original, surprisingly well executed and superbly edited.
This book is a prequel to Goswami’s earlier book Lucy and the Train : Tryst with Sustainability. I hadn’t read that book. But believe me that caused no sort of hindrance in enjoyment of this book.
Lucy Meets Artificial Intelligence is a both a thriller and science fictions. Otherwise a seasoned reader can easily guess what is going to be next in spite of the camouflage, Lucy Meets Artificial Intelligence has twists and turns which no one can foresee. The language is simple and lucid and it sucks you into the charm of Lucy’s world. The book deals with sustainability in a way that no other book could. That is the reason why this book is highly recommended.
I am in love with the way in which the book has been written by the author. The simple and lucid style make the book worth a read with a good pace. To be true, the book is like a breath of fresh air among all the repetitive romance and college affair novels that the writers nowadays generally prefer. One more aspect that I liked is way in which the genre of the book has been changed from its prequel that was a complete science fiction. I am complete awe of the author and his writing style.
Lucy meets Artificial Intelligence is the 2nd installment of the sci-fi Lucy series. This book has in it all - a well defined plot, thrill, emotions, character analysis, twists & turns, a vivid - almost pictorial representation of the new world and an ending, which keeps you yearning for more. But amidst all these the underlying message of our responsibility in maintaining environment sustainability has not been lost in translation. Anandajit has been able to portray a not-so-distant and not-so-beautiful future for mankind, if we don't change our ways. This kind of book with an underlying message usually tend to become preachy at times, but Lucy meets AI doesn't fall into this trap. Also, a peek into the AI psychology and a a comparative analysis between AI and human psychology was an interesting concept and I would love to see more of it in the next installment. Also, the chess game was very interesting, but I would have loved some more technical insight into first 2 games, the moves, the motives.
Overall a very enjoyable experience and a much improved version from the 1st installment. Now, I am eagerly waiting for the 3rd installment for the unsolved loose ends
While some prequels ruin the original work, there are some that bypass the original Lucy Meets Artificial Intelligence by Anandajit Goswami is one such book. It is a prequel to Goswami’s earlier book Lucy and the Train : Tryst with Sustainability. Sustainability has never been a subject of mainstream commercial fiction. But with this book Anandajit has daringly and effortlessly entwined it with the narrative.
Thriller is not an easy genre to write. The plot, the layering and of course the twists have to be well executed. Lucy Meets Artificial Intelligence scores well in all these counts. A book which you can read over a lazy summer week end for sure.
If you are a regular reader, then go for this book. You will enjoy it completely. Moreover, you will get something exciting and different to read. However, if you are a newbie I would suggest you to go for something that is more readable like romance genre or simply start with the prequel of this book. This will help you to read the novel in a better manner and the reading habit will cultivate properly. However, if you go directly for this, I fear you might just runaway after few pages as you brain might not get what you will be reading.
The way in which the author has changed the plot along with its genre from the prequel of this book is something that I am in complete awe of. I admire the writing style of the author and the way in which he has crafted the story along with some beautiful characters. The thrill and suspense adds some more flavor to the book. I would like to read another sequel from the author. I hope he is on his way of giving us another masterpiece in coming days.
This book proves that there is no scarcity of good and pristine stories. The way in which the author has etched the different characters in the plot along with the suspense and thrill is something to watch out for. The use of simple and lucid language makes it worth the read. I hope the author writes another sequel to this book while I pick up the prequel to this book. I will be eagerly waiting for the same.

The book has its own share of thrill and suspense and it was a complete enjoyment. I am in complete awe of the manner in which the book has been written. If you are a suspense and thrill genre reader, go for this. You will be amazed to know the beauty this 143 pages has.
This has been one of the best suspense thriller I have read till now. I have read the prequel of this book which was a Science-fiction. I never expected that the author would bring something so beautiful. He has changed the whole genre of the book from its prequel. I just loved the story. The plot was gripping that kept me hooked till the very end. I hope the author surprises us readers again with something extraordinary in the coming days.
There are good books and bad books. And then there are some books which cannot be described in few words. Lucy Meets Artificial Intelligence by Anandajit Goswami is something that falls in the third category. The book has some amazing plot. The thinking itself deserves appreciation. Moreover, the way the plot has been written is sure to give some orgasm to readers out there. You will love every tiny bit of plot, characters, presentation and many more
Though the blurb is short, apt and interesting, it doesn’t give you much hint of what to expect out of this marvelous piece. Moreover, another suggestion would be to go for its prequel before reading this to get a better grasp of the story and enjoy the wonderful ride with Lucy. Moreover, the suspense and thrill are all throughout the book which will make you enjoy this ride along with the simple language. In all, go for this book. It’s one of the best.
This book is one of my best reads. The plot in the book is clear and the way in which it has been written is amazing. I loved the portrayal of characters. This is one of the few books that I completed in one sitting. The story was engrossing and I was a kind of addicted till I knew the whole story. The book has given some new dimensions and for me it has re-defined novels. This will help me to choose and read good books and not just pick up any novel.
Have you read this book’s prequel? If not, you must read that before going for this book. Since if you are not well-versed with the characters, the story will seem to be like Rocket-science. The best thing about the book is that the author makes us ponder upon the future explaining the environmental concern in a totally new way. My only concern was the monotonous narrative style which could be improved in future.
The book has been penned down very beautifully. The simple and lucid English was perfect which help in enjoying the book throughout with a constant pace. The main protagonist, Lucy takes you to a thrilling ride with suspense throughout the story. The book contains few pictures which makes the reading more interesting. Apart from the plot, the characterization too was quite good. I am just going to buy the prequel of this book now. In one word, awesome
Are you a regular reader who is frustrated of the quality of books and stories that people write nowadays? Give a shot to this and you won’t regret it. The novel has one amazing story and the way Sci-Fi has been moulded along with suspense and thrill is something that takes the book to some other level. I liked the way this story has been presented. Though the cover could have been more better, the book does well in all aspects.
This book has some serious suspense and thrill that was enough to send some shivers down my spine. The precise blurb was intriguing and exciting. The story goes on further and the excitement never ceases for anytime till the book was completed. The writing style is simple and lucid and this allowed the readers to read the book at good pace. To be true, I am in complete awe of the author. I am expecting some more good stories from him in future. Warm Regards
I thought this to be author’s debut book. But I was completely wrong. The book already has a prequel “Lucy and the Train” and if you haven’t read it, I think the reader should pick up that book so as to enjoy every bit of this masterpiece. This book does well in every aspect and to be true I can’t find any flaw in this. I would strongly recommend this book. So, while the author is writing something exciting, I am on my way to order the prequel. Cheers.
Amazing. Fantastic. Perfect. The story telling ability of the author was just too good. I have seen very few writers who has given something to read that is as amazing and adventurous as this book. The suspense and thrill till the very end wasn’t expected. I wasn’t able to guess till the last page as to how this story will end. I am in complete awe of the writing style of the author. Moreover, the simple and lucid language was icing on the cake that kept the pace of reading constant.
This book ain’t another Bollywood masala script. The book is based on suspense thrill genre. The plot is unique and the way of telling the story is quite different. The portrayal of characters is extraordinary and I think stories like these are our ray of hopes in this unending race where you either don’t get quality books or college/school romance is served in the name of novels. The out-of-the-box thinking is what impressed me the most.
Starting with the cover, the designing could have been taking into mind the plot and the genre. The title is intriguing and exciting. The blurb is short and apt creating a lot of excitement and raising many questions into one’s mind. The best thing about this book is the use of simple and easy English which made the reading more enjoyable. Since the plot is something new based on AI and talks about future, a must for environmental enthusiasts and future-looking people.
In today’s world, we are making machines which are more or less like us whereas we are becoming more like machines. The story is based on Artificial Intelligence and how Lucy confronts the larger challenge of survival between humanity, sustainability and AI. The story is like rain in the month of May. Unexpected yet beautiful. The way of narration is what was quite impressing. Overall, I enjoyed this beautiful novel.
Did you read the prequel of this book? No! Don’t worry. That won’t be an hinderance to understand the story. However, go for that once you read this marvelous piece. This book some amazing turn of events. The way Lucy faces and survives the dangers of Artificial Intelligence adds some amazing thrill and suspense throughout the story. I was in complete love with the story and how it has been presented. Recommended to every suspense and thrill reader.
This has been one of the best reads till now. Though I read very less, but whatever I have read till now this book remains in top 3. The plot, characterization, narrative style – everything is unique. The author has tried to bring to our attention the current environmental condition and has explained it in a brilliant way through his book. The suspense and thrill all throughout the book is the icing on the cake which will not be missed by anyone.
Thank god, this book isn’t a romance genre. I mean sometimes I think that’s the only genre that exists in today’s world especially as it is followed by most Indian authors. This book is based on Suspense and thriller genre. Moreover, this book also has a prequel which is based on Sci-Fi genre. Though, both these are related. They can be read independently and this is what I liked the most about the writing style. Overall, one of the best reads in 2018.
A story of a girl Lucy who is sent to future in the year 2250 by a team of researchers to find out the options for human sustainibility is a very creatively written attempt. I liked Lucy's journey which had Lucy's innocence, The technologically advanced AIs, Robots and the disrupted land masses, everything mixed together presented an enjoyable read.
Although the writing style was lucid, I wished it to be simpler. Some lines were extremely long with lots of technical jargons where I lost the connect. Pick this book only if you are an avid reader and a Sci Fi Fan. Reading the first book of this series before reading it (Lucy and the train: Tryst with Sustainability) would be helpful to connect the dots for readers.
The title of the book is quite intriguing. Though the cover could have designed in a more better way, the blurb is short and exciting. I liked the way in which the story has been presented. The characters, plot, writing style – everything is amazing. Moreover, the suspense and thrill that the author maintains till the very end is worth some applause. Completely enjoyed this book.
So finally completed the book. The best thing about the book is the suspense and thrill. You are certain to get some goosebumps and it will make you think how to save this beautiful environment which has given so many things to us. The plot is new talking about the current environmental condition. I liked this thriller completely and I hope so will you. Strongly recommended.
The sci-fi writing took a notch up in its endeavors as this book clearly marks the standards of what a perfect sci-fi book should be. Talking about artificial intelligence in a fictional novel is a tough task, which has been done very smoothly by the author.
