What a great series!

I've really loved reading this series and must admit that I didn't get a chance to start until all 4 were out. Luckily I was able to take advantage of fan pricing on the first day of publishing so by the time I started I had them all downloaded to my Kindle. This is a fast paced series and book four lived up to the last three. Lots of action and adventure with plenty of snarky humor. Vic has come into her own as a god killer. And having Maya along as sort of a side kick really has its advantages. Deacon is slowly working towards having more faith in Vic. Like the 3 proceeding books in this Arc, it was hard to put down once I started. But totally worth the time spent. Looking forward to the next book, hope Brax will show up. Think he'd be awesome if he joined Vic's team.

When I read in reviews that this fourth book was the end of the first story arc of the series, I decided to read it right away. Establishing a personal record of four books of the same series read in a row! That alone should be recommendation enough to read the series. But let me reiterate that this series is fun, as a detective style of plotting, a great main character an easy-to-read writing style and many gods and monsters to mess around. Popcorn reads; yes, but also my (surprising) record holder for keeping my interest; YES.

Better than 3 at keeping my interest

Enough twists and turns to keep me wanting to finish the book. Disappointed because the next arc is not up yet.
Really enjoyed the addition of Maya as a character, the finding and rescue of Jules, the interactions of Deacon Nd the mysterious smoking stranger. Want to find where all this ends up, but without book 5, I'm left holding an empty bag.

A big fish in a little pond

Vic starts seeing the larger picture, discovering even more about the gods and their destruction: what will happen to earth.

Forgotten Gods was an eye opener, but only showed a little of the hidden world of gods. As each book progresses, we see more and more truths, more dangers, and more humans willing to take a stand against the destructive evil the gods bring.

This is a fascinating series and I’m off to read Gods of New York.

Great conclusion to this arc

Great story with lots of imagination and action. Vic finally meets Lorcan but not before taking a ride on wild side. Stunning ending and it's about to get bloody bad.

Great story and charactered

The story start fast action and characters change developing into new problems to solve. Each problem was a different but uniquely different solution. The end left in answered questions.

Give stars for a series that gets better and better with each book. Vic has been fully immersed in god killing, and finally has some friends to help her out. Things are about to get dicey and I can't wait.
