Finding out that Pig is scared of Halloween, the Super Readers fly into the book to help Pig overcome his fears, meet ghost inside the story itself, and then show them both just how many Halloween things they think are spooky are actually not scary in the least--to the surprise of both Pig and ghost alike! Simultaneous.
The Super Readers help a ghost overcome his fear of Halloween. They use their reading powers to change the story so it's less scary and everyone has fun. Easy to read text for early readers.
Not nearly as good as the TV show -- they cut out the whole purpose of Super Why: teaching children about words and reading. Perhaps the "author" thought that since it's an Easy Reader book the kids don't need instruction -- just practice. That being said I would only recommend this for a child who is just learning to read rather than as a book to be read to a child.
This book is super cute for kids that may be afraid of Halloween. It teaches them that things on Halloween are just pretend, and not as scary as they think.
