Excellent overview of the life of DuBois. Excellent survey of the plight of African Americans from Reconstruction to late 1920's.

eloquently written and recorded, this is one of the rare biographies i’ve read and it’s truly fascinating. i never knew i could learn so much from a life already lived. Hamilton puts Dr. Du Bois’ life in perspective to modern times, using universal truths and understandings to make his long life all the more expansive. a true work of art…never knew a biography could be so hooking and sincere.
