Eight hundred years before Jame and Tigh, a great hero lived. This was fun, but I kinda miss Jame and Tigh from the other Emoria books.
Despite that, it was very nice to return to a familiar universe.
It was well written and I had fun.
The flipped "traditional gender roles" still amuse me to no end

I loved it. It was a very sweet and easy read. No high drama or death of beloved characters. Problems with easily found solutions. It was just what I needed. I had read the first three in the Emoria series before and remembered reading about Hekolatis, it’s wonderful to finally read her story.

A well-rounded fantasy around female warriors
I stumbled across the lesbian fantasy „Tales from Emoria“ in the early 2000 years and totally adored the world of the all-female warrior society of Emoria and its wayward princess. Hecolatis‘ Promise is a spin-off set in the far past: Hecolatis, a newly initiated warrior princess, sets out to discover the world outside Emoria. It is a sweet tale about honor, finding your way and your life compagnion. A fitting addition to the Tales from Emoria.
