This neat little book of unconventional Canadian-themed fairy tales was given to me as a Christmas present by my grandparents ages ago. I finally got a chance to read it last week and found that it was filled with stories set in familiar places and while they made you giggle, they also made you think. Occasionally having not-so-happy endings.
There was definitely a dark touch to many of these stories that as a reader I wasn't expecting until it was already over.
It's an interesting, easy read that I fully suggest giving a read.
Enjoy!
