This book is exciting, strange and somewhat instructive. I gained an insight into what it is like to live with chronic mental illness and also what it is like to love someone who suffers from chronic mental illness.

Ally Robertson is a talented writer. However, I was disappointed with the inconsistency of this book. Warning to sensitive readers: there are scenes of rape, drug abuse and self-justified murder.

One of the best survival scenes I've ever read is the bear attack. Absolutely thrilling! That said, i suspect Ms. Robertson's talents may lie in writing paranormal. I look forward to watching as her writing style continues to develop and refine.
