The author of this book chose nine photographers from across the country and take pictures of Kansas in 1976. They are all in black and white and there are some decent photographs with the landscapes being more to my liking then the photographs of people. It would of been interesting to know why they chose the subjects they did but besides a profile on each photographer you are kept in the dark about why they chose to photograph the things they did. Some of the photographer's sections does not even contain the name of the person or location of the photo. This book just fell flat and could of been better with some work.
