In Chronicles of Sam, Sam Redman thrives in his South Jersey bedroom community until nature, murder, travel, and other entrapments, take him from his comfort zone.His wife Lana allows Sam to steer their ship of state as long as she can warn of troubles on the horizon.The stories cover life at its strangest, including skunks, mayhem, religion, Mormons, and other U.S. institutions. Guardians of the culture help Sam through his adventures. Waitresses, priests, Achmed the Dead Terrorist, even the Jersey Devil, lead our hero through the murky landscape and back to the welcoming shores and his patient bride.

Tom Minder lives in southern New Jersey, with his wife Paula, and writes novels and short fiction.

He is published in various online journals and in the Beach Nights anthology from Cat & Mouse Press. He is a member of the South Jersey Writers' Group and The Writers’ Coffeehouse.

His novel, The Long Harbor Testament, was released by Black Rose Writing on January 5th, 2017.

A well-written collection of humorous short stories which send up many male middle class America obsessions. The stories recount the adventures of Sam Redman as he writes a murder mystery, takes vacations at the beach or by tour bus from Vegas to Mount Rushmore, battles squirrels in the attic, or enjoys a meal at a local diner and overhears two crooks planning to stiff the waitress.
