If I am reading a medical romance by Robin Gianna, then I know there will be lots of personal emotional issues interwoven into the many challenging situations related to health matters. I was especially captivated by this story because it takes place in Peru, where numerous medical difficulties add to already stressful interactions between a doctor and an anesthesiologist. The author gives her romantic couple plenty of obstacles to overcome for them to even be friendly, and I could tell that Annabelle Richards along with Daniel Ferrera were never going to be in a relationship unless their opinions greatly changed. As I watched them deal with one medical emergency after another, I hoped working closely together would give Annabelle and Daniel insight into the other’s private life, thus giving these two deserving individuals some real happiness. TEMPTED BY THE BROODING SURGEON is filled with stirring emotions and very fascinating characters.
When Annabelle Richards chose to participate on a medical mission trip to Peru, she wanted to use her skills as an anesthesiologist to help pediatric patients. But upon arriving at the small hospital, she discovers the cardiac surgeon with whom she will be assisting is Dr. Daniel Ferrera. Her prior encounter with the man resulted in her professional goals having to be changed, but she is now more experienced and cannot be intimidated as easily. Though Daniel still does not fully trust her abilities, as all tasks need to be flawlessly performed every time, he is intrigued by her as a woman. As the two work alongside each other aiding young children, they come to realize several startling facts.
By the time I had finished reading TEMPTED BY THE BROODING SURGEON, I felt as though I had experienced an abundance of realistic situations. There are instances where lives are on the line and quick thinking is imperative. When an event is all about feelings and how a person is perceived, I was also caught up in the moment and worried that any reactions by either Annabelle or Daniel would further damage their relationship. Though both are very successful in their chosen careers, each hides some painful memories from their pasts which repeatedly affects their current lives.
Robin Gianna constantly had me believing every scene as described, regardless of what was happening. The medical aspects seem convincing, while any incidents where emotions are the focus also came across as true-to-life. There seems to be a huge number of differences in Daniel and Annabelle’s lives which could forever keep them apart, but being very observant might lead to the truth. I went through many emotions while reading, as the story is touching, humorous, and always engaging.

Everyone knows I simply adore Robin Gianna and I was super excited to get a birthday present in the mail from her yesterday , an early copy of her May release Tempted by the Brooding Surgeon, along with a note that basically said she didn't feel this was that good so if I didn't want to read it I didn't have to but Happy Birthday...
Luckily for me I know better than to listen to authors, especially her, whent they put down their work before hand (they make the worse critics when it comes to their own writing) cause I started reading it and didn't stop until I was done and that's saying something coming from me who normally takes days to read a book since my strokes.
It didn't take me long to fall in love with Dr. Annabelle Richards. If I was a man i'd be lusting after someone like her as it was I was admiring her for who she was and all she was able to persevere to become the amazing and caring woman she had become.
It took me a little longer to warm up to Surgeon Daniel Ferrera but that was only because of the way he had treated her in the past had it not been for that I would have probably been drooling over him from the get go but it didn't take me long to start falling for him too! Especially after you realized why he was the way he was even though unlike Annabelle being born in poverty he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and had just as many issues to overcome only in different aspects of his life.
It was fun watching them have to work together as the only two Dr.'s at the mission hospital in Lima, Peru. It was even better watching them fall in love and try to deny it to themselves , but love comes when you least expect it and when it does there is nothing you can do to stop it.
Definitely an unforgettable romance you won't be able to stop reading once you start so make sure you have the time to give it and author Robin Giannna (who delivers a medical romance with accurate details) your undivided attention because if you don't you will miss a truly heart wrenching and heart melting romance.
If you haven't read Robin Gianna before I highly recommend starting here because one you do you will fall in love with her writing and you'll want to devour her previous releases as quickly as you can get your grubby little hands on them, luckily for me I found her in the beginning and haven't had to miss a single one of her captivating romances!

This is such a great story moving, fabulous setting, two caring loving Doctors always thinking of other people but often hurting themselves, but now it is time to be happy in love as well as what they do for so many people. Get yourself comfortable because once you pick this one up you are not going to want to put it down.
Annabelle Richards grew up in such horrid poverty but she wanted so much to be a Doctor and with the help of someone she did that and is now working hard as an anaesthesiologist travelling to Lima Peru to do mission work using her own time and making a difference, she has plans to help more poverty stricken people, giving back what was given to her. On this trip though she runs into another Doctor who has hurt her before and may do so this time if she can’t keep her feelings under control.
Daniel Ferrera is a cardiac surgeon and a good one, he chose this line of work for reasons that still have a way to cause pain and he has health issues that he keeps to himself finding love is not on the cards for him short affairs yes but nothing permanent, but when he meets Annabelle in the mission hospital sparks fly he is not happy that she is there as his anaesthesiologist having worked with her before. But when Daniel finds more out about her feelings change and the pull he has always had for her sparks up.
A sensual affair starts between the two of them but as Annabelle learns about Daniel’s past and his reasons for brooding she falls deeply for him and as for Daniel he cannot help but fall for the caring hard working Annabelle but can he afford to hurt her again? A poignant enemies-to-lovers story! Robin Gianna weaves a magical love story of finding your forever when you least expect it. The main characters each have their own dramatic back story that lends a strong foundation for the book, and their past connection with each other is wrought with tension and dislike. For them to overcome that, we're taken on a journey of forgiveness as they each have to open their eyes to how the other saw the situation ... and we embark on watching them make their current dreams a reality. Really interesting read!
Dr. Annabelle Richards can't believe her luck when she arrives in Peru on a medical mission trip and finds the doctor she's going to be working with for the next two weeks is none other than uppity Dr. Daniel Ferrera ... the man who briefly derailed her career five years ago! She can't stand him or his attitude, so this is obviously going to be the longest two weeks of her life!
Daniel Ferrera feels justified for every decision he's ever made and stands by his decision to never willingly work with Annabelle again ... only they are stuck together for the near term and as they both are forced to ease up a little on their thoughts from the past and see the others point of view, they realize everything has two sides. When attraction starts dominate their time together, they have to figure out if it's worth giving in or going about their lives separately.

Dr Daniel Ferrara's worst nightmare just showed up at the Peru clinic he was doing surgery at, Annabella Richards joins in on that worst nightmare. Both worked together before and because of a glitch in surgery Daniel took her to task and as a result she left that hospital. Here they are face to face again and he is angry as she is late and surgeries that were important were delayed and he puts all the blame on her. First on his to do list is to get her out of here and into a different clinic cause he refuses to work with her. His twin brother passed away during surgery because of incompetence and he refuses to be with someone he feels cannot do his or her job. Sounds like a simple fix, just moves Annabelle and all is right in the world. Wrong as they are together he finds a different side that he didn't realize was there and what he believed he now knows is wrong. He starts to fall for her but the fact that he has a heart problem same as his brother that died he throws away the chance of a future together. Or does he, read this wonderful story by Ms. Gianna and you will enjoy every minute. It has medical scenes in it but that only adds to the chemistry building between the two characters. A truly wonderful story and a fantastic hea.

What can go wrong does go wrong!
Annabelle Richards is trying to make the trip to Lima, Peru from Chicago. Now mind you she had to get the transport monitor that she had arranged to donate for this trip, which had gotten locked in a room where suddenly it seemed no one had a key. Then with weather delays and missed connections and she is now very late.
Annabelle grew up in the worst part of Chicago and foster homes and without luck, hard work and such she never would have been an anesthesiologist.She can be so proud of her accomplishments however Dr. Daniel Ferrera did not see eye to eye with her. Years ago he had worked with her and was when she was early in her career and so not as flawless as now.
He is still not 100% trusting her but later does realize that she has changed.
This is a medical mission trip to help as many of the pediatric patients as possible.
Robin Gianna has a technique of writing so you are drawn in. Not able to put it down as you want to keep reading. You also feel as though you are right there and makes everything realistic.
Annabelle and Daniel’s lives may have been so very different as they grew up however they can make it work and need to come to that understanding.

I absolutely love reading books from author Robin Gianna. Her latest book "Tempted by the Brooding Surgeon" is a Medical Romance, and much more. When Annabelle Richards arrives in Peru she isn't all that happy to be working with Dr. Daniel Ferrera. Seems like they have a past, a medical past, and he almost got her fired. Annabelle trusted a newbie anesthesiologist and they almost got a patient killed. She took full responsibility since she was in charge, but unfortunately, Daniel won't let her forget it. As they work together they find that they are compatible with each other. As Daniel gets to know more about Annabelle he finds that he likes her more than just a colleague. There is much more to this book. We find out how Annabelle's past plays a role in her future. We also find out why Daniel is so hard on himself.

Fans of Robin Gianna are in for a delightful story.
When Annabelle Richards arrive in Peru, South America, she hadn’t bargained on working alongside the man who nearly ruined her career. But once she gets to know Daniel Ferrera on a personal level, Annabelle discovers the renowned surgeon’s broodiness is simply a front for the tortured man hiding within. Finding comfort in each other’s company establishes a strong bond between Daniel and Annabelle and before you know it, these two are hitting it off! A likable cast of strong characters add depth and heart to this captivating romance.

When Annabelle Richards discovers she’ll be working with renowned surgeon Daniel Perrera soon after she arrives in Peru, she isn’t happy about it, especially after what he did that almost cost her career when they last worked together.
