This romance collection of Books 1-6 was a relaxing and enjoyable read. There was a spiritual component present throughout, but I would have liked to see the characters in the books more committed to the Lord. Most of the ranch employees attended church, but it was rather casual. It seemed that it didn't matter if they made it to church or not, or if they just jumped up and left during church! Several of the characters' actions indicated they were fully committed to dating and getting to know their person of interest. Then, they suddenly walk away with no explanation, leaving hurt and heartache behind. Once is bad enough, but this happened 2-3 times! There was also a LOT of kissing and emphasis on how their dates looked and how they felt about it all!
The stories were interesting and held my attention. The books were just too contemporary for my taste. Values were not developed enough to have a bigger impact in the lives of the people living on the ranch.
If you enjoy Contemporary Inspirational Romance, then you will enjoy these books.
if you're looking for praying and Committed Christians who are committed to the Lord, their family, and their church and active in it, then this series falls a little short. Perhaps the author will further develop future books. I would definitely read more of those books!
Please don't misunderstand. These are "clean and wholesome" overall. I'm not saying they are bad books, by any means. I plan to read more of her books to see how they compare to this box set. I used to read her books frequently. This author's name is on my list of authors that I watch for their books. It's been a long time since I read her books until recently. I think that I figured out that what I expect out of Inspirational Romance has changed over the years! And these are my opinions. Everybody is entitled to their own.
Read this box set. The characters interact throughout the books. The author developed the feel of family amongst the cowboys and the owners. They care about each other. This set covers a span of several years. Come, get to know the people, the stories, the romances! 💜
Brush Creek Cowboy: I hopped into this series after reading through Horseshoe Ranch where our owners have their own story. An enjoyable read with a heavy emphasis on faith - which I loved.
The Cowboy's Challenge: A fun and flirty age difference romance. I love how it sailed along. Definitely some unique twist! I look forward to more from these cowboys.
A Cowboy's Proposal: I enjoyed this pregnant lady on a ranch romance. There was fun and seriousness and sweetness.
A New Family for the Cowboy: A sweet romance with a great depiction of the realities of kids. No sugar coating things here - which I love. I’m looking forward to more in this series.
The Cowboy and the Champion: I really liked this romance. There was tension and real life and horse training and more. Loved characters and new ones. Life lessons and breezy moments. A lovely installment on this ranch.
Schooled by the Cowboy: Another sweet romance. Lovely characters and themes of forgiveness.
Having previously read several of these books separately, I can honestly I completely enjoyed reading them back to back. Liz's books are uplifting. They highlight the importance of having God in your life and encourage you to pray as well as asking for forgiveness and guidance. Whenever I have too much going on I read something by her and have no problem clearing my mind or filling my spirit~
Brush Creek Series - This collection was a great addition to my reading list! I’ve loved everyone of Elana Johnson’s books and I’ve read at least one-half of the books she’s written so far. I know when I purchase a book from Feel-Good Fiction that I’m going to enjoy every reading moment because Elana/Liz/Jessie’s books are always well-written with lovably flawed and humbly teachable characters who draw you in and make you want to be part of their family.
This is a good boxed set. Several stories about the cowboys at Brush Creek ranch and how they all found the love of their own lives. Some of the brides and cowboys were broken mentally and healed with counseling and love. Also included in box is the stories of Horseshoe Home Ranch. How some came to be at Brush Creek.
It was great to read about all of the pairings. Even the last one came too soon. The story of Ty finding love was so sweet. Thank you to Liz for making this large book set. Loved all the happy ever afters.
I enjoy reading a series of books where the stories and characters are connected. Also like cowboy yarns. I don't read stories with graphic and steamy sex scenes and descriptions. These books were all that and enjoyable.
I enjoyed this Series very much. I enjoyed most of the books very much.. The book about the injured snowboarder was good but seemed to be out of place with the rest of the series. I am a fan of Liz Isaacson
A whole lot of love for the cowboys! Liz Isaacson has written stories to touch my heart and warm my soul. Great characters and story lines. Totally enjoyed every one.
I enjoyed every one of these stories. They were all unique with different struggles and different joys. I felt very connected with all the characters in the stories and it makes me really want to go ride a horse. Great books!
I love reading stories that allow me to meet and follow characters, you get to know all the members of this wonderful community full of real faith building moments. Love is the greatest adventure, with Hod it will all work out. Amen
Each story has interesting characters and their struggles with finding that special person. Each situation has different situation to conflict with their bidding relationship . Loved the people and the locations . Thanks for the help in finding great stories.
This was a series of stories and every single one of them was terrific. I am not going to review each book because there are too many but trust me if you like Christian romance stories, this is definitely for you! Enjoy!
Familiar characters and a very good romantic story make good reading. This covers all the requirements and I can recommend this story without reservations.
This is an excellent series with charming and adorable characters and heartwarming as well as unexpected love story that will have you coming back for more.
Brush Creek Cowboys Collection is a great set of sweet clean Christian romances. Some of the characters I find abrasive, and I can’t imagine giving away one of my cats, but overall good stuff.
