I had never heard of Dr Sebi or his diet, so this was all new info for me. I liked how honest the author was about the diet, especially that it is not well researched, is not really ideal long term due to some nutrient deficiencies, and that it lacks protein elements. I found that honesty really refreshing. It gave me confidence in the author, he is not just pushing something. I liked the idea of the Dr Sebi diet, I find the premise behind it intriguing, that we need to boost the alkalinity of our bodies. I took off one star because there are no pictures with the recipes. I eat with my eyes first so I like to see pictures in my cookbooks.

This book takes you thru the steps of understanding that certain foods have certain affects on your body. It takes you thru the steps from detoxing to recipes. One thing in this book I found interesting is that Dr Semi doesn't exist and there is no proof that the diet does either. I recommend this book if you want more information on dieting and the reasoning behind it because it does contain a lot of information and recipes.
The diet in this book is a plant based diet. It will remove toxins from your body which can help improve immunity, along with other health benefits. There are a lot of recipes to help you get started.
Its cook book, obviously but it goes into detail about hiw the diet can affect you. It also gives you many substitutions, makinf it easer for anyone to use.
