A charming and tender romance, this novel drew me in from the moment Sawyer entered the picture. Drawn together like magnets, Ana and Sawyer have crossed paths previously in their lives. Fate brings them together once again when the run-away musician has a flat and the sexy SEAL comes to her rescue. Finding that they are neighbors at the lakeside resort is the icing on the cake. Ana has good reasons for making a break, but she needed a champion to help her stand up to the forces controlling her life. A marriage of convenience becomes the real deal, but when it would seem that Ana has lost everything she holds dear to her, Sawyer once again is the answer to all her longings. Although part of a series, this novel is a standalone. It is witty and tender and hits all the right notes for me. I received a copy of this romance as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.

Sawyer Beckett is on his way for a week of R&R before his next deployment with his temporary SEAL team. He is what is known as a “Nomad Seal”. Goes where he is needed when a team is down a team member. On the road he stops to help Ana Crisitano with a flat tire and he can’t get her beautiful and startling green eyes out of his mind. Ana is fleeing an overbearing mother and her persistent manager for the break she needs from her concerts as a pianist. She knows she is in for a meltdown had she not gone on the lamb from them. As fate would have it these two people are at the same vacation stop and their holiday cabins are right next to each other.
They spend the wonderful lazy, last days of summer together exploring the area and all the fun things there are to do, that Sawyer knows so well, and that Ana is experiencing for the first time, as is her attraction to Swayer that is new and exciting and that Sawyer is more than willing to share with her. The two grow closer as each day dawns and Sawyer knows that he will do anything to make Ana happy and will help her have a much freer life, but still have her music.
I loved both of these characters. They meshed so well for two people who are the opposite of each other in so many ways. Sawyer a full time Navy SEAL, who goes from one team to another and does not know from one day to the next where he will be and Ana a famous concert pianist, who’s days are mapped out for her every day. But their attraction to one another is instant and they don’t try to fight it in the short time they have together.
As I was reading this book a certain song was playing, and I thought that if Ana and Sawyer had a song this would be it. “I Don’t Want to Live without You” by Chicago and I thought how true this was for them.

Oh how I loved this heartwarming and wonderfully tender love story. Reading it was "easy like Sunday morning." I am a great believer in everything happens for a reason and it was fated that Sawyer was behind Ana on that dark road when her tire blew. Spending idyllic time together by a lake over Labor Day, Sawyer is able to indulge Ana's every whim, wish and desire. They just plain have fun. Something that she's been deprived of for years. He knows that he cannot let her go once the real world come crashing in on them which happens sooner than expected. Desparate times call for desperate measures and Sawyer sends up a hail Mary in the hopes of keeping his beloved Ana in his life.

I very much enjoyed this short story. I’m a big fan of Cynthia DAlba’s books.
I have to say that at first I thought Ana was a bit soft and too easily controlled by her family and manager. Her character grew on me the more Sawyer was around and he was able to bring out the strong woman inside her. Sawyer is such a easy going and sexy man I fell for him right off the bat.
There’s a lot of fun in this book and I will say I ugly cried near the end.

Sawyer has no idea his time off before deployment can be his most surprising of life changing events and the same for Ana as she flees her concerts to try and mentally heal. When they happen to meet due to a blown tire and wow the emotions come all flooding on you as you read this story!! I was a beta reader and enjoyed it immensely!!

Remember those summers out by the lake when life was carefree? This book took me back to those days complete with a little romance. The ending makes for one great ugly cry.

I loved Sawyer “Nomad” Beckett and Ana Cristiano’s story. The development of characters as well as the story were great. It not only moved at a great pace, it also kept me entertained. I found myself grinning and giggling at different parts throughout the book. The level of flirtation by Sawyer was perfect. One could say he reads the room and situation perfectly.
Ana is hard not to love. You know there is a woman who has determination based off of her talent and the time it has taken to develop. I enjoyed seeing her bloom once she had someone in her corner. Someone who doesn’t want something from her that is.
The description of the scenery of the resort and surrounding areas led to a beautiful picture in my imagination. It could be that I was reminded of my own home state or the picture of Sawyer there. I do hope to see a glimpse of Sawyer and Ana at some point, just as a catch up moment would be fun. It is hard to leave such a great couple.

Loved this story. It’s another great story by Cynthia D’Alba, I’ve never been disappointed by one of her stories. Sawyer is a Navy SEAL looking forward to enjoying his time off before he deploys. Ana is a concert pianist who’s taken off without anyone knowing because she’s desperately in need of time away from her hectic life. They meet and there’s an intense draw between them. You’ll need to read the book to know their story. You’ll find excitement, fun, laughter, steam and surprises in this story….everything a great story needs. Couldn’t put this book down once I started it…Grab it for yourself and enjoy.

Some books just keep you consistently engaged the whole way through, and “Hot SEAL, Labor Day” is one of them. Beautifully written by Cynthia D’Alba, this is part of the ‘SEALs in Paradise’ world of interconnected stories created by a variety of authors. I’ve enjoyed all the books in the series that I’ve read, but this is definitely one of my favorites.
Sawyer’s nickname is Nomad because he’s always on the move, filling in where needed on various SEAL teams. He grew up as an army brat, so never being in one place for long is a way of life that he’s comfortable living. The team he’s been serving with for the past month or so is granted a 10 day leave and Sawyer heads to a lake where he is supposed to spend the week of the Labor Day holiday visiting with his parents. His parents have to cancel but Sawyer goes anyway. Ana’s successful career as a world-renowned concert pianist involves a lot of traveling so she’s also always on the road. When she’s not on stage she’s practicing, every aspect of her life planned and dictated by her mother and by her manager. It’s been that way since she was a young child prodigy. When the unbearable pressure finally gets to a boiling point, she desperately needs to take a break. Without telling anyone what she’s doing, she runs off to take a vacation from her life.
Ana and Sawyer end up in side-by-side cabins at a lake in the California hills. I don’t want to tell you too much about the relationship that develops between them but it’s simply terrific. Their connection feels authentic, the dialogue and banter are first-rate, and the author successfully conveys the respect and chemistry between the lead characters. There’s a special quality to the interactions between Sawyer and Ana that’s just so hard to explain in a brief review.
The secondary characters have small roles, but I particularly liked Ana’s father. There is some angst, and a couple of heart-wrenching moments. You’ll probably laugh out loud a few times. I thought the ending was particularly effective. Much of the time while reading about when Ana and Sawyer are together you may find yourself wearing a happy little smile. I know I did!

Sawyer 'Nomad' Beckett is a SEAL floater. He fills in on teams until an empty position is filled. He's just returned from deployment with SEAL team Romeo and after joining them for a drink he heads out to a favorite vacation spot. He was supposed to be meeting his parents there but his dad, an army general was sent to Belgium at the last minute.
Ana Zeller Cristiano is a classical concert pianist, she's been touring for what seems like forever and really needs a break. With the help of an acquaintance she buys a used car, makes reservations and takes off without a work to her family or her manager.
It's a bit of a coincidence that Sawyer is following her on the last stretch to Lake Kincade as he's able to assist her when the front tire on her car blows out. He even leads her to a reputable place to get new tires so the car is safe to be on the road, before he heads to his cabin.
It turns out that with her last minute reservation she is in the cabin that had been reserved for Sawyer's parents and that's where the attraction begins. Sawyer approaches her as she's saying hello to the resident dog.
Ana has some thinking to do with regard to her schedule and the pressure her mother and her manager are putting on her to marry Randall, her manager's son. She's already told him no but they won't let up.
One of the first things Sawyer realizes is that Ana doesn't have much worldly knowledge. She's been very sheltered and hasn't done many of the things others take for granted.
This is a thoroughly enjoyable book, with every new experience Ana's reactions are delightful as are Sawyer's.
There's plenty of laughter, some tears, and a simmer to sizzle romance that will have you turning the pages for more.

Sawyer is a SEAL who is on vacation. He has spent his life moving from team to team, fixing the problems that need fixing, but never staying too long in one place or with one team. He doesn't want or need roots. Ana has been playing the piano since she was a child. She is beyond tired and frustrated with her life. So, she hides from not only her manager but her parents until she can figure out what she wants to do with her life. But when her path crosses Sawyer's, can he fix her problems while learning that putting down roots can make your life better?
I really enjoyed this book! Sawyer comes across as this man who just can't see the point of settling down or in one place. Which I thought was slightly odd because he does have a good relationship with his parents. I loved that when he met Ana he really listened and learned about not only her but what he might gain from changing his own thinking. Their banter back and forth was great! Ana..she broke my heart with a lot of the things that she talks about. She never really has had a choice in anything that has happened in her life. Everything is mapped out for her and she is told what to do. And I hated that for her! I loved that they truly spent time together and got to know each other. It sucked me in and kept me reading from start to finish. I always forget how well this author writes her characters and their stories, until I read the next book!

I am new to this author and I am always a little tentative when I read new authors. I enjoy a good romance with a hot Navy SEAL and a strong heroine. I was not disappointed.
Ana is on the run from her career and overbearing grandparents, mom, and manager. It seems they have her life planned out without her input. She is a concert pianist who needs a vacation from her suffocating life. She loves what she does but even an incredible pianist needs and deserves a break. She heads out to Lake Kincade and promptly gets a flat. Navy SEAL Sawyer "Nomad" Beckett comes to her rescue and as fate would have it her next-door neighbor at the lake. It was fate. What turned out as a proposal to help Ana out of a situation her mom and her manager cooked up for her, turned into the best proposal of her life.
Ms. D'Alba described the scenery and lake so well that I could picture myself right there in the pages. The story drew me in. There was no damsel in distress so to speak. The was no one trying to kill them either. It was a sweet love story between two people who were meant for each other. The wedding that Ms. D'Alba wrote about was so romantic that I and perfect for them. I admit to having some tears in my eyes during the last chapter. I love a good epilogue and this one was well written in my opinion. I will definitely be reading more books by Ms. D'Alba.

SEALs make everything better
When a concert pianist and a Navy SEAL have a chance meeting on the way to their vacation spot neither thinks too much about the attraction they felt. Until they see each other the next day when their cabins are side by side.
Both are taking a break from their very stressful lives to take a moment and just breathe. Neither is interested in anything long term to start off with but a little fun in the sun isn't going to hurt anyone.
But as the saying goes "life is what happens when you're making plans" and things change for both pretty quickly. As Ana and Sawyer get to know each other better they find their paths crossed as children and both remember the time with very fond memories. They also find that their feelings are deeper than temporary.
I absolutely love this series. Each author brings their own unique skills to each book while still keeping everything cohesive. And seriously ... SEALs!!!!
I really enjoyed this work by Cynthia and found it to be fun, funny, and touching. Not too much drama. It's a joyful relaxing read.

Loved this book. Received this as an arc and give this review freely. Ana and Sawyer need each other and their bodies and souls recognize that immediately. Sawyer doesn't believe in love and Ana has never known anything but being a piano virtuoso and pleasing around her. When Ana and Sawyer end up as neighbors at a lakeside retreat they immediately feel the pull to each other and start building a relationship. When Ana finally has to call in and let people know she is ok she finds her controlling mother and overbearing manager have plans in place to force her into a marriage she doesn't want. When Sawyer offers marriage to him as a solution to the problem, Ana jumps on it and they head to Vegas for a quick wedding. Just as they are starting to realize they do care about each other, Sawyer gets deployed and feared lost. After weeks of no contact, Sawyer returns in the middle of one of Ana's concert where she introduces him to her public.

They spend several days together better by to know each other and they finally figure out they met twenty years ago when n Germany. With her mother pushing her to marry her managers son, they decide to have a fake wedding in Vegas to get everyone off her back. How does her mom handle the news? Is this really a fake wedding or real even though they have only known each other a few days? What happens when Sawyer gets deployed right away when they get back? This is a wonderful book.

Ana and Sawyer's book is a beautiful storyline. They have an accidental run-in when Sawyer stops to help a stranded motorist on a dark road leading to his escape for a week.
They end up at the same resort for the week and Sawyer finds himself drawn to Ana. Ana has led a sheltered life due to her being a world renowned pianist. She lets Sawyer help her experience ne things and she is loving it.
Her family has no idea where she is as she just bailed, turned off her phone and just wants to decompress and not worry about anything.
There is family drama involved as her Mother and manager is trying to marry her off when she decides to at least call them to let them know she is fine.
A great read by Cynthia and now I'm so excited to read more of her series.

Holy hotness this book was absolutely phenomenal and please Please have tissues on hand as I ugly cried with this book and my heart and mind went on an emotional roller coaster ride. Sawyer nomad Beckett is on leave and meets up with Ana Cristiano who took off to get away from her life and her overbearing mother and manager when she gets a flat tire. Sawyer and Ana have such a connection that her mother tries to tear it apart but will she succeed or will news of a down helicopter destroy her heart and soul? This book was absolutely phenomenal and I absolutely love this book and recommend it to everyone to read.

This is an amazing story that made me feel like I was right there with the characters. I truly could not stop reading it. Starting with a chance meeting on the side of the road where he stopped to help a lady with a flat tire, Nomad (the Hot Seal) only wanted to spend a few days relaxing before gong back to duty with his team. He soon discovers that this lady has missed out on many every day joys that he took for granted... and she is running from something or someone. It's a tender story full of laughter and discovery. Dare they take a chance to find what they never thought was possible for their futures? Have tissue ready. I was in tears at the end.

Loved this book
This is such a great book. I devoured it and didn’t want to put it down. Sawyer and Ana are such a wonderful couple. They get along super well and have such fun banter. They have strong chemistry and so many sweet moments. They enjoy teasing each other in a way that brings a smile to my face. The way they met and her circumstance with her mother and manager is interesting. A plot I haven’t read about before. I liked how the author spent so much time showing us their interaction and how they fell in love with each other. I must read. I totally recommend and can see me reading this again.

Sawyer 'Nomad' Beckett is a Navy Seal on Rest and Recuperation Leave discovers Ana Zeller Cristiano, a concert pianist. Anna broken down on the side of the road with a flat tire gets help from Sawyer. They meet again as she is staying in the same cabin his parents were supposed to be in before they cancelled at the last minute. The week turned into passion and romance. Sawyer and Ana seem to complete each other’s missing piece and they are determined to make it work at any cost. Fun love and excitement with a few hurdles along the way make this a great book in the series.

Sawyer is a floating Seal. He goes wherever he is needed. Right now though, he is heading to vacation.
Ana is a concerto pianist. She needs a break though. Her car that she bought has just blown a tire. Some nice guy changes her tire and leads her to where it can be fixed.
Ana and Sawyer spend a lot of time together and feelings are growing on both sides. Ana has also found out that her mother is planning a wedding to her manager's son that she doesn't want. Sawyer suggests a solution.
Ana is back to playing and Sawyer is missing. Is he gone forever?

Simple and beautiful
This book is my favorite of all the books I've read so far from Cynthia D'Alba. I laughed and cried as I read Sawyer and Ana's story. As I am retired Air Force, I can relate to Sawyer when he has to deploy, and when he has to go "no contact" with his family. As a widow, I can relate to Ana when she believes he has died. Sadly, as so many people do, I understand the frustration of having family members who think they should be able to run your life. This story is told simply and beautifully. Looking forward to the next book.

An unlikely combination in this story! A concert pianist and a Navy SEAL aren’t what I expected in this story but they work so well together. He’s taking a well deserved R&R week and she’s run away from her life in general. So many emotions and fun packed into a week of passion and romance makes it a great end of summer read! Sawyer and Ana fill the void for each other and vow to make it work no matter the challenges!
