I actually have the Kingfisher edition of this book. Simple, easy to read, it is written with the student in mind, rather than the teacher. Explanations are simple and do not go into exemptions from the rule, for example the Oxford comma, but are sufficiently detailed for a good basic understanding. There are a few short activities to test yourself, but the main emphasis is on the information.
