It is fun to read about these haunting stories especially they are all about Deaf ghosts! It is so cool that one of them graduate Gallaudet College in 1914. My favorite story is A Girl in 24 Room. Some stories are ok.
While the stories are enjoyable, the grammar and punctuation in the book could be improved. The format and font could be improved as well to make it less ‘essay-looking’.
This was one of the most interesting books I've read by a Deaf author, because this particular author tells his stories in the same way you would see the story signed. All the visual cues and details are presented like your typical ASL story/poem. For that alone, this book is unique and fascinating. The stories were ok for the most part. Some were predictable, some were just strange, and the one about the girl in the hotel whose father cut off her hands for signing was rather bizarre. But read it. It's worth it.
