Pippa hated military fighter pilots. Virtually all she knew were arrogant, know-it-all bastards who thought that the sun rose and fell on them. And then there was Captain Seth Austin. Undoubtedly, one of the best pilots she was acquainted with, she could find no fault with the way that he treated the crew or his plane. But she could fault him for his infectious smile and those wicked hazel eyes as they were interfering with her hate of him. If only she didn’t lust after the man, her world would be just fine. A man good at calculations, Seth couldn’t figure out Petty Officer Pippa Tanner. An easygoing guy, everyone liked him. And then there was Pippa - the one woman that he couldn’t stop thinking about. Everything about her drew him in and he'd draw her in if only she would give him half a chance to change her mind.
Shara is- well let's just say touched. Born a Marine brat, Shara is a Navy Veteran with a pathological love for men in uniform, chocolate, and heroes that are maybe a touch psychotic. With over seventy-five books in her backlog, Shara has no intention of slowing down any time soon. She's definitely not safe for work, or the kids, or- you know what? She's just not safe.
As always, Shara Azod delivers a steamy romance like no other. Captivating leading ladies, mouthwatering men and hot love scenes all served with a kickass plot.
Pippa is very high maintenance and will continue to be strong willed, but Seth will have her grounded every time! Pippa is right that it will be a lot of work keeping her in line, but they won’t be bored anytime soon!
Okay, I need to know HOW the author was able to get inside of my head because Pippa is ME!!! LOL She’s kind of a loner, does her job well and doesn’t really get too involved with other people’s mess. The way she thinks of and deals with men made me giggle b/c it is a reflection of my own attitude(except I’m not a love ‘em, leave ‘em type). She shies away from love for the very reasons many do. She is contradictory, complicated and absolutely me!! I’m glad she was able to find someone like Seth to match her and make her surrender to love. He was able to read her pretty well and coax her to open up to him; and he was a strong character without being a jerk. The interesting thing is that although the book was relatively short, I did not feel robbed. It seems as if the protagonists fell in love because something pulled them inexorably towards each other, it’s something that I can’t really name but it is very believable. I was just disappointed that Seth chose to start their affair while they were still enrolled. He vowed he wanted to “take care” of Pippa, so to me that was a stupid move. There were a few typos her and there but they were not bothersome and the story flowed nicely.I liked being able to know what the Pippa was thinking and the way the author wrote her felt very natural and true to life. Now for the only thing I didn’t like…The whole “our-chermistry-is-so-off-the-chain-I-repeatedly-forget-to-use-protection-or-birth-control” made me shudder in disgust lol. I think the author was trying to show the finality of their relationship (as if from the beginning they unconsciously know they will be each other’s last)…but still… Anyways, I’ll stop my rambling now to say that overall,I liked it a lot!!!
I would have finish this read earlier but my job is stress me out. anyway the heroine was a pill and it a good thing the hero understand why she act out. very short in your face read not really romantic or Erotica to me kind of lust read.
I really enjoyed this one. Pippa is so, me. The attitude, the way she feels about relationships, and the stubbornness. I scratched my head and laughed a few times while reading this one.
