Saw a production by Guildford School of Acting at the Electric Theatre in Guildford - stunned. Love the show, excellent.

Five stars for the show. However, this edition is riddled with typographical errors. I have sent the publisher an email this morning, outlining them all if the hope they'll fix them in future.

Disappointing. This all feels a bit forced, as though the source material doesn't lend itself to the treatment by Kander & Ebb.

It's nice to read the book scenes for the first time, having previously known the score.

This has so little to do with Puig that it's an interesting example of adaptation.

I ADORE Kiss of the Spider Woman and all its incarnations, however none of them have quite held up to my appreciation for Manuel Puig's original novel. The musical captures the escapism and hope Molina gets from the movies exceptionally well, but I think the actual plot and meat of his an Valentin's conflict suffers a bit in translation.

Still an absolute success that I would drop everything to see at literally any time.
