Max Brand, one of America's most popular and prolific novelists and author of such enduring works as Destry Rides Again and the Doctor Kildare stories, died on the Italian front in 1944.
Whoa……this has got to be among the most unique westerns I have ever listened too. I borrowed this from my local library and listened to the audio version. (Less than 40 mins) It made me think of the Spanish Friars in an old Clint Eastwood western. Bounty, Booze, Bullets and Blessings. Bottoms up!
First Max Brand that I have ever read. It was good, but not as good as some of the other western authors that I have read. I will read some more of us, but they will have to be some that I already have or can buy really cheap.
