I’ve spent the first half of my life in lies. My father and my best friend have kept me in the lies they wove. What should I do? Where should I go?
In the middle of one dark night, my destined lover appears, and saves me from the hands of the monsters. I feel the surging desire between us, but he keeps pushing me away, again and again. Does he really love me?
Terrible monsters are still devouring the city little by little, and the hidden truth is still buried in the dark. Foreign packs and an unknown background - everything is revealed to me bit by bit after I learn that my father is a murderous devil. Although we we’ve never been close, what's more incredible is that I have always been a part of his evil experiment plan. Now, overnight, I am standing in opposition to my last relative. But no matter what, he is still my father. Do I really want to leave?

This book was so gripping that I couldn’t put it down. I wanted to read more and more of the story. Ivy, trying to save her friend, meets Adam and Everett. Ivy is then taken by Adam and Everett to their pack house in hopes her father releases the people of their pack that he kidnapped. Ivy finding out her father is a hunter is devastating to her. Finding out about her mother and who and what she is is such a twist. Every part makes your heart race and question what’s next. Adam and Ivy’s relationship progression was back and forth. Some of the things between that happen is heart breaking. The ending had me wanting more. Overall, it was a great story.
Decent plot, but not enough to save the book when the characters are one dimensional, boring and the relationships between them are just words on a page. I was told everything, I didn't feel anything, and even being told, I didn't believe. Fated mates, but there just wasn't anything there. I didn't feel a connection, she seemed to like and get along with the brother more. Even the secondary characters and their relationships were bland and unexciting. All in all, I can't say I enjoyed the book.
