Retells the Biblical tale of Moses and presents pretty straight forward and well known theories as to the authorship of the Torah and how it was likely assembled. The most interesting portion contains prayers and rituals from the "Sword of Moses" (the 9th and 10th books), which reveal a nearly heathen side of Semitic religion.

Worth reading for those interested in Torah and apocrypha associated with those books, but don't expect much in terms of new info.

Oh, if only we had an Ashkenazi Jewish woman masquerading as a man in a time period when the information, the practice and the gender would have been a 3 strikes you' re out. Oh, no wait we do.

She is able to take a lot of information and condense it.
