Second Chances by Roux Cantrell is a story about getting a second chance at life and at love. This is my first story by this author and I totally loved this story! Her writing style is such that she will pull you in from the first word until the very last. Her attention to details, even the smallest ones makes this story flow. Her characters are connectable, true to life and you will just fall in love with them. They will pull you into their lives. You will feel like you are right there in the story with them. They will take you on a roller coaster ride of various emotions that you don't want to miss. This is the story of Frankie and Gauge. Frankie had everything she wanted until one tragic day when she wakes up in a hospital and can't remember everything why she is there. Just when she thought she would be okay, her ex-fiance liquidates her assets and steals some of it. Just when she thinks she will be okay on her own, she meets Gauge. Gauge has his own baggage and is broken. These two feel an instant connection. Their relationship is not a conventional one as they are both so broken. I love both of these two character. They both have suffered so much but they are also so strong. Frankie is strong, independent and can be stubborn. She is confused by Gauge and confused on how he makes her feel. Gauge is hot, sexy but the military has left scars. Both of these two made me want to ask them what they were doing! Why couldn't they see what was right in front of them. Both need to build some self confidence but I loved seeing them both grow throughout the story. I don't want to say to much so I don't give any thing away but this is a must read. It will make you laugh, cry and parts will make you question what they are thinking. What will fate have in store for them? Will they finally stop fighting their feelings so they can find their HEA? I highly recommend this story as you will lose yourself in this book. It will keep you engaged until the last page. I know you will want to read this book!
The story Second Chances by Roux Cantrell is a contemporary romance book. This story introduces you to two people, Frankie and Gauge. When reading this story I found that this couple’s relationship is full of ups and downs. The story that I read at times had me wondering if they could find a way to stay together. I liked the character of Frankie. She is a fighter and a survivor of an accident that left her scarred both physically and mentally. She is someone who is determined that she will be independent. However, she can be quite stubborn at times. Gauge is a man that is haunted by nightmares. When he meets Frankie he is attracted to her however when things start to get romantic he runs from her. He doesn’t want to burden Frankie with the demons of his past. These two are attracted to each other and the chemistry is there, however, there are times when either a misunderstanding occurs or they have a disagreement. This book had my emotions going up and down all the time. However, through it all, I was always hoping for them to be able to find happiness together. The secondary characters in this book are friends with both Gauge and Frankie. They are a close-knit bunch and when Frankie and Gauge are not talking to each other is sometimes causes tension in the group. Some of them are quite overprotective of Frankie. There are also times when they all had fun together going out to eat or on a trip. The road to love is not always a smooth one. There can be many obstacles to overcome. Find out where Frankie and Gauge’s journey takes them. This is the first book I have read by the author and I know it won’t be the last. She has created a story that I thought about even after I had finished the book. I look forward to reading more by this author.
Second Chances by Roux Cantrell is the first book I've read by this author. I thought the book was pretty good.
Frankie Lowing started her day like any other day. She was a beautiful successful woman who owned her own business. She was engaged to a great guy or so she thought. Then everything changed in the blink of an eye.
She lost everything she had. Her business, her freedom, her fiancé and her happiness after being involved in an accident. She was in a medically induced come for a few weeks and thankfully her best friend Pouge was there to help her adjust to her new life. Even his group of friends became Frankie's group of friends.
When she was well enough to go back to work, she ended up workin at the garage owned by one of Pouge's great friends named Reece. Reece and Frankie became great friends which then resulted in Frankie having quite a few more friends. All the guys were very protective of her.
She may be damaged now but, she is still a beautiful girl with scars and she is just as much a spitfire as she always was.
When Gauge and Frankie meet, the chemistry is off the charts. They are both damaged In one way or another but are very much attracted to eachother. Everything would have been great if Gauge didn't keep fighting his feelings and pulling the disappearing act.
What will happen when Frankie finally goes back to the doctor to find out why she has all this remaining pain so many months later? Will Gauge and Frankie ever get the happy ending both of them want to have or will Gaige continue to keep fighting how he really feels for her?
I'm so happy Frankie was brought into that group of friends. They all really care for her. The guys mostly treated her like a little sister and the girls were all there for her. And Bran....well he helped her out a lot! I also love how Viv and Veronica were around till the end of the book.
I give 5 stars Second chances written Roux Cantrell.
This is a first for me from this author and i wasn't disappointed this story gripped me from the start of the prologue on Frankie’s accident, what a strong beautiful independent women, she had everything a great business, fiance, then happened the life changing accident happened . At a time Frankie needed the one person she thought she could count on, they takes her for a massive fool while she's in rehab once she is released she learns she has to rebuild her life again from the bottom up. With the help of some amazing friends she does. After months of rebuilding her life she see’s Gauge Mashon once or twice, but unable to actually meet him, months pass and finally one day they meet, Frankie knew from the first night she seen him he was holding a lot of emotions inside.
Gauge didn't want to stay at the party to many people and girls throwing themselves at him, he just wants to return to the studio and stay away from the world. Whilst walking away he she something in the shadows he's sure it's a girl, once he returns home he it's to wired to sleep so goes down to do some training, at the window of the cafe over the street he's sure it her but now she's gone. Unable to understand if he is dreaming or of she is actually real.
Will Gauge ever open up and talk to his mates and stop hiding in the studio, will Frankie ever get past what people see now or will she just have to hide in the shadows and night time for the rest of her life.
I completely love Frankie and her struggles really hit close to home for me on some of the aspects. I very good read but broke my heart a little. Beautifully written on struggles in life.
What do you do when your whole life takes a devastating turn for the worse? When everything you have is taken away in a split second? These are the questions Frankie Lowing has to answer in Second Chances by Roux Cantrell. After a serious accident in the salon she once owned, Frankie is left scarred, broke and alone to rebuild her life. But she strives, with the help of some good friends, to rebuild her life and not let her injuries stop her from being independent again. Gauge Mashon has his own demons but feels drawn to Frankie from his first glimpse of her. From the start he sees Frankie for who she is and wants nothing more than to be with her and show her that it doesn’t matter what scars are on the outside it’s what is on the inside that matters. But his demons are too strong and he ends up continuously pushing Frankie away each time she gets close to him. From the beginning this story pulled me in, I cried for Frankie with everything she was dealing with and how it seemed she could never catch a break. Her loneliness alone still brings tears to my eyes when I think of this book. As for Gauge I spent a good portion of the book vacillating between wanting to punch him and wanting to shake him to wake him up. The only thing about this book that I didn’t enjoy was the ending; it felt almost as if it was just cut off. There was no concrete closure, it just stopped, so I am hoping there will be more written about Frankie and Gauge. Beyond that though this was a fantastic story and I look forward to reading more from Ms. Cantrell in the future.
Second Chances By Roux Cantrell is an amazing book about getting a second chance at not only life but love and Frankie and Gauge can definitely relate.I absolutely without a doubt loved this book, I was sucked in from the beginning to the end. These characters stole my heart early on and I was rooting for them through out the book. Frankie was on top of the world, she had a thriving business, a fiance, lots of good friends, till one incedent at her place of business changed everything. She spends nearly a year,in recovery and is finally released, she realizes she's not ever going to be the same Frankie ever again,to much damage has been done.Gauge is ex military and now owns his own gym as well as being a MMA fighter. He pretty much keeps to himself, but seeing her in the shadow of the deck that one night has done something to him.He thinks he's going crazy because he keeps seeing her everywhere. .it isn't until he's talking about to Reese that he finds out she's very real. These two are so stubborn, as they both want each other but they fight it till its almost to late.I love this author and her writing style. The raw emotions she put into this amazing story.I was very emotional at times and others was laughing, I love Frankie. This isn't my first book by this author and it definitely won't be the last.I highly recommend this book, you won't be disappointed.
Second Chances by Roux Contrell is a contemporary romance that is a 5 star read. Frankie is a very strong, stubborn and independent women. After a horrific accident that left her physically and emotionally scarred, she is trying desperately to survive. After the accident she lost her business and her home. Now she has finally got a job and moved into her own place. Life is finally coming together for her. Gauge is ex-military. He has tried to build a life. He has opened his own gym. He has become a famous MMS fighter. But he feels broken. He is plagued by the demons of his past. After a friend introduces Gauge to Frankie she realizes he is everything that she never realized she needed. This is the story of those two broken, lost souls trying desperately to put their lives back together. Frankie and Gauge’s story is an emotional ride. They have great chemistry. Their banter will make you laugh out loud. Their sadness and struggle will break your heart. Frankie does not believe someone could look at her and see past her physical scars. There is one particular chapter that completely broke my heart and will stay with me forever. “Gauge… would you consider… I would keep most of my clothes on…the lights can stay off too. You wouldn’t have to see me… what if I never feel again.” This book had my emotions all over the place. I completely fell in love with these characters. I did not want it to end.
Second Chances by Roux Cantrell is a story all about getting a second chance at both life and love. This is my first story by this author and it totally broke my heart for what the main character went through but I absolutely loved this story. Roux’s writing style is easy and flows well making you feel every step of the way and the characters are so life like that you will fall in love with them. You will feel a myriad of emotions whilst reading this book. You will find yourself laughing and crying, frustrated and yet hopeful.
Frankie had great friends and life she was happy with until one day turned into a nightmare that she couldn’t wake up from. That one tragic day that changed her life forever. It would be the day she had to fight to survive. The day when she would be broken.
Gauge is a broken man who is fighting his own demons. Demons he can’t keep at bay. Demons that haunt him day and night. Demons that stop him from having a normal life.
Will these two be able to connect? Will the demons keep them from finding what they truly want?
You will find yourself getting lost in this story and hoping for a HEA. Even after finishing this story I was finding myself still thinking about them, the emotions definitely pack a punch. This is one book you do not want to miss and you will kick yourself if you don’t. I can’t wait to read the next one. Hopefully there is a next one!
This is the first book I have read by Roux Cantrell and it won’t be the last. She has a way of writing that draws you in and keeps you interested until the end. Her characters are real and down to earth. They are a close knit group who are loyal and protective of one another. Frankie was a successful owner of a salon until an accident left her scarred physically and mentally. Left with nothing afterwards, she had to start from scratch and put herself and her life back together again. It has been a long hard road for her and my heart broke for her. She is a fighter and a survivor who is sometimes a little too stubborn.
Gauge is probably just as broken as Frankie. From doing several tours in the military, he is haunted by demons in his nightmares. Though he falls for Frankie, he doesn’t want to burden her with his past. He believes she deserves someone better than him. You can’t always decide who you fall in love with. The fact that they refused to communicate caused many misunderstandings between them. They had many obstacles to overcome. The road to happiness usually has a few bumps but their road had large potholes!
I fell in love with the characters, both primary and secondary. I was cheering for Frankie from the start. I was impressed that after everything she had went through, she had the strength to carry on. It would have broken many people. This book is a definite read.
Second Chances by Roux Cantrell is a very emotional and beautiful book. There is a lot of laughs as well as a lot of heart ache.
The character of Frankie is hilarious, I wish I knew her in real life and could be friends with her, she sounds like a really good time. She is also very broken down and in need of support from her friends and also a lover. My heart hurt so badly for her throughout the book due to her situation. I wanted her to find a man to love her and think she was as beautiful as she was written into the book.
The character of Gauge just mad me irate! I understand he had problems too but the way he treated Frankie through the book made me want to punch him. You can tell he is in love with her and wants to be with her, but because of his own demons he won’t allow himself to. In the end he ends up hurting them both.
The ending was just okay for me, I liked how it ended because it hinted at good things to come, but it also was so open ended that I was left wondering what would happen to these two characters. I really hope there will be more books to further the relationship between these to characters and give me some closure.
Overall I would give this book 5 out of 5 stars. The book kept me interested, made me laugh, made me cry a little and had a really great story.
I am so torn on how to review this book. Do I review it based on the strength and tenacity of Frankie who has external scars from a tragic event? Do I review it based on the isolation and internal scars that Gauge got as a result of his duty to his country? Do I review it based on the fact that there is such a tight family of choice who sometimes have a hard time understanding which side they should pick in a fight? Do I base it on the fact that there were times I was absolutely so angry with a character that I wanted to push them into a lake? Do I review it based on the times that relationships moved so quickly that I didn’t know if I missed the first time they met and it caused me to get confused a few times? I don’t know, so I’m going to review it on the over-all emotion and feelings I got from reading this book.
Second Chances is a book that I enjoyed more than it I didn’t. It was a fast paced and I was able to read all in one sitting. Honestly, it had me feeling all sorts of feelings… joy, sadness, frustration, anger, happiness and relief - I would rather be frustrated with a book that made me feel feelings than be apathetic to it because it made me feel nothing. This was the first time I’ve read this author and I will absolutely read her again.
Second Chances by Roux Cantrell is truly a story of second chances. It was my first encounter with this writer and after reading this book, I am curious to read some more of her works. Second Chances is the story of Frankie and Gauge. I loved Frankie; she is one tough cookie, a true survivor. Her character was well written and very easy to connect with. She broke my heart and at times I got mad at her and her stubbornness though at the same time, I could totally relate to it. Gauge was an interesting character, moody and dark and beautiful. I would have liked the writer to give us more of his nightmares so that he would have become more real … I was missing the connection I had to Frankie. Still, their relationship was something of its own kind, it had ups and downs and some of their actions and reactions made sense, some of them left me speechless … at the same time, whatever was happening I was rooting for them! Second Chances was weirdly addictive book, I could not put the book down (I had to go to work and it was really hard not to pick it up and sneak in some reading). I hope that the writer will give us some more books of the gang that Frankie and Gauge are part of, there were quite a few intriguing ones there and hopefully then we would maybe get some more of Frankie and Gauge!
This story involves two people that once had it all. They are now plagued with nightmares and pain that is almost too much to handle. Frankie and Gauge have a unique bond stemmed from their mutual understanding of each others pain. Frankie seriously was riding rainbows until a crazy lady ended that. Frankie went from glam to feeling pain with every step. But she didn’t give up and she didn’t whine or complain. Though I think her friends would’ve gladly listened because she never leaned on them. Gauge has seen more than he should’ve and it keeps him up at night. He knows he isn’t what Frankie needs and does everything he can to stay away until finally he can’t. I don’t like cliffhangers with no hope of another book. I felt unfulfilled when this book ended. We got no knowledge of what happened next or if she could feel again you know. The story felt incomplete and I was really sad because they were really good characters. This is why I prefer books that clearly state HEA or that it’s a series. I was in my feelings like what that’s it? But anyway the story was really good and I did enjoy it. It was sad and heartfelt. I don’t know if I would’ve been as strong as Frankie in this story. I will definitely be on the look out for more books by this author and hope that I walk away satisfied.
This book messed me up man. Although, as much as I loved reading this, I felt it just ended. There were so many things that needed to be explained. In a way it felt like a cliffhanger. I do love epilogues, I suppose it helps give me closure from the characters, but I love books that do the unexpected. It makes for a more real story.
Gauge is an absolute cutie. I know he is supposed to be a big bad scary man, but he is cute. I actually liked him as a character.
Gauge thinks he is going crazy. He is seeing this woman everywhere. Only to find that he is not going crazy, she definitely is real and she knows his friends.
'Just shake my hand so I know you're real, Gauge thought.'
Frankie bless her, she is such a strong character. After having everything that happened she still manages to get on with her life. She is surrounded by all these men who want to protect her and look after her, made me kind of jealous. When she meets Gauge, I thought it was really cute.
'Everything would work out as it should, she thought.'
Overall, the story felt real. I actually enjoyed it so much. I will eagerly wait for another story in the hope it will answer all my questions!
Second Chances by Roux Cantrell is more than just a romance story. This book will bring you into the story and you will feel what perseverance and a strong will to survive feels like. Frankie and Gauge both are haunted by horrific events in their lives, and because of that they find it very hard to open up and let people in. As you're reading the story of these two people who are fighting different battles, you find yourself falling in love with them and rooting for them to find the strength to find and be open to love and mend the broken pieces of themselves. The story also introduces you to some wonderful characters who are amazing friends and are trying to help Frankie and Gauge get through the things that haunt them, emotionally and physically. Sometimes friends are like family and what we need to help us get through rough times in our lives. Does Frankie and Gauge give love a chance? Are they able to open up to each other and not let their past get in the way. Are the mental and emotional scars to much to let love in? To find out you must read their story, and what an awesome story it is!! So much emotion and hope, you will not want to put it down once you start reading it. I highly recommend this book!
I really loved the storyline of this book and I loved that it seemed to move along quickly yet smoothly. There were different POV’s throughout and I love it when authors do this, it gives you a feel for all the characters not just one throughout.
This book was different in my opinion than most that I read, it has an instant connection between Frankie and Gauge, a connection that started before they even met, but it wasn't cut and dry for them. With both of them having such haunting pasts with scars (inside and out) that keep their pasts alive daily, they both find it hard to hope for anything in their futures except being alone.
This felt like a series, I actually went and checked to make sure there weren't other books before this one, it felt like I should've already known some of the characters in this book, but that did not throw me off, now that I think more about it I actually liked that all the characters seemed familiar. I think it made the story move along even smoother.
This story felt real, Frankie felt real, I love the strength she showed to everyone she met and even those that were closest to her. The friendships felt real, and I sincerely hope there is more coming for all of these characters.
This is the first story that I have read by this author and I really enjoyed it. It didn’t take me long to become completely caught up in Frankie and Gauge’s story. Both of these characters had such complex lives but together you could feel the connection they had even though they fought against it. I really admired Frankie, after everything she went through she was determined to carry on with her life and try to be as independent as possible. She had a very stubborn side to her and a feisty streak that I loved! She certainly wasn’t letting people get away with things! Gauge was a character who took time for me to understand and get to know. He was quite a guarded character which came about because of his past. I did find myself frustrated with both Frankie and Gauge at times because they just kept on pushing each other away. There were also some good secondary characters that really cared for both Frankie and Gauge. I liked the authors writing style, the story had a nice flow to it and the characters were deep and well developed. Being written in dual POV helped me as a reader to feel a good connection with the characters. I will definitely be reading more by this author in the future.
Second Chances Roux Cantrell ☆☆☆☆☆ Romance novel of those who feel and think they are Damaged. As well as not good enough to find love.
Frankie Low in had everything she could ask for. She was thriving and had done it all herself. Until that one day when she lost everything. Her fiancé, her booming business and her life as she knew it. All over one angry client. Now she is damaged and nobody wants her. Or so she thinks.
Gauge Mashon, MMA fighter, owns his own gym. Also has a thriving business, as well as being a fighter. He fights his nightmares as well. They keep him up at night and he does not need a woman in the mix. He to is damaged and does not feel he can be loved or, love another.
Roux Cantrell has taken these two souls and built an amazing story of love. This is one of the best stories I have read of this caliber. Two damaged people who have the right to love and be loved. This book starts it's intensity on page one and continues till the end. There has to be a book to follow, and I for one am waiting. This is my first book from this author and I look forward to reading more from her.i
Second Chances by Roux Cantrell really ropes you in right in the first few pages. I was hooked by the characters almost immediately. The chemistry between all of the characters is great!
Frankie Lowing had it all. She had her own business, a relationship she thought she was in for the long haul and was just genuinely happy with life. That is until one day at the salon changes everything. One woman she never met before ruined her life as she knew it.
Gauge Mashon tries to keep to himself. He has a close group of friends, but that is about it. He has some scars due to his past that continue to haunt him and when he sees a beautiful woman on the streets in the bad part of town he isn’t sure whether he actually saw her or if she was an illusion. That is until the day is he introduced to her.
I really loved all of the characters in this story. Frankie, Gauge (for the most part – haha), and all of their friends. I was roped in from the beginning and didn’t want to put it down. The only part I wish was different is a wished there was more at the end. Don’t get me wrong, the ending was good, I just found myself hoping for more! I absolutely recommend this novel!
I still have a lump in my throat, emotional, angsty story. This women is so strong, despite the hell she's lived through, the pain she still lives with. I wanted to hug her, love her and do anything I could to help her, including giving a certain someone a swift kick where it hurts the most. Talk about mixed signals, he was lucky the whole group didn't lose her, I for sure would have walked away, she already had pain from her injuries and had just started to build herself up and make a new life before he started tearing it down. One group of friends for two people doesn't always work when they are not on the same page. This book gutted me for her, all she wanted was for someone to see past the scars and love her, I started to think he would never get there, even though I knew it wasn't her scars that bothered him it was more about his own. This is well written raw and a roller coaster of emotions throughout, I read it in just a few hours because I didn't put it down, I would have liked it to go just a bit further from the ending, maybe an epilogue a little in the future just to see how she heals and how they move on in their relationship but this was a gripping read.
Second Chances by Roux Cantrell is my first book by this author. This story is about over coming difficult time. Frankie Lowing has definitely had her share of hard times after loosing everything when something bad happens at work. In this story you get to watch her learn to live again and be her own person even when that person is stubborn. Gauge Mashon is a man with a haunted past that makes him keep to himself, until he can't stop thinking about a girl he thinks he keeps seeing. This book is what I'd call a slow burn romance. The storyline took a bit to get into at first but once it picked up I was hooked. My only real complaint is the POV changes so often it can feel a bit confusing. The characters are complex and the story is heartbreaking yet heartwarming also. My favorite part is Frankie's personality and views on her misfortunes. The story is well paced and didn't feel rushed. If you're looking for a more slowly build romance this is right up your alley. I give it four stars and recommend it to my fellow romance lovers.
Second Chances by Roux Cantrell was a good introduction to this author. This second chance romance was about two hardhead people fighting their feeling for each other and learning that it’s okay to lean on someone for help. After ten months of being in a hospital and rehab from an accident, Frankie is ready to move forward and put her life back together. Gauge Mashon is an ex-marine who is now an MMA fighter/gym owner. He has a tough, don’t mess with me look to him, but when you get to know him, he is nothing like what you think. Gauge and Frankie bump heads more times than they have good moments together. Once I started reading this book, I couldn’t put it down. I even had a moment where there were tears in my eyes. I loved the friendship’s between this group of friends. The only thing that’s a little upsetting - the book just ended. I'm really hoping there will be another book; it can’t just end like that.
Second Chances by Roux Cantrell is a contemporary romance book that I gave 3 stars. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but this story did not keep me engaged. It did start off in the middle of action, but wasn’t as exciting as the plot line. Frankie is your typical survivor now a fighter after befalling a tragedy. Gauge is a man with a past, and these two try to fight their obvious attraction so as not to “burden” the other person. Lots of drama, mishaps, and issues ensue with these two fighting for a better lot on life. There were shifts between POVs in many parts that kept me wondering what was happening, and the dialogue was predictable. But everyone has different takes, so check this out if contemporary romance is your thing
Second chances by Roux Cantrell is about just that, getting a second chance at life and love and the struggles that we go through to get that second chance. Cantrell has a great way of writing her characters so that they are real – full of problems and flaws, but those downsides making them relatable to the reader and all the better to see get a happier ending in the end. Second Chances focuses on Frankie and Gauge, who both come with allot of baggage but instinctively know that they want and deserve something more than what they are allow themselves now. This was a great book to read, and while Cantrell is a newer to me author each of her books have been fantastic to read and I can’t wait to see what she comes up with in the future.
Second Chances was an amazing book. I didn’t remember what it was going to be about so I went into it blind and I am so glad I did. It was a tear jerker, an emotional love story, a page tuner that I did not want to put down once I started it. It gives you all of those feelings. A young woman who is left disfigured by an accident and has nightmares, and has lost everything. Her job, car, a man who left her and took from her. And then she meets a man who also has his own issues and scars. Thinking she has found someone who can look past her scars and find happiness, she ends up disappointed. But that’s not what happens. This book was so interesting I loved it so much, I highly recommend it to the readers. It is definitely worth your time. An awesome book.
This is the story of Frankie and Gauge. Frankie survived a terrible accident and after months and months of rehab she is ready to try to rejoin the world and start living again. But sometimes its just not that easy. Gauge has seen some horrible things during his time in the service. And they haunt him daily. This book is full of everything. Romance, chemistry, emotions, fun times and hard times. I enjoyed reading this book and seeing how Frankie and Gauge's story unfolded. My emotions were all of the place with this book. I would definitely recommend this book. Cant wait to read more from this author.
Second Chances by Roux Cantrell is the first book I have read by this author. I think this is my favorite book so far this year. The emotions were insane, I was laughing at the witty banter and the next moment I was crying my eyes out. Frankie and Gauge’s relationship was definitely one of ups and downs. This book had me staying up till 2:00 am just to see how it ends. I hope that it wasn't truly the end, I hope Roux writes a second book about Frankie and Gauge. This story just flowed and like I said before, I couldn't put it down. I highly recommend this book to everyone. I look forward to reading more books by Ms. Cantrell in the near future.
This is my first book by Roux Cantrell and I really enjoyed it. This book is about two people who have been damaged on the inside and out and their broken path to find each other. Frankie is in a horrible me accident that not only leaves her broken but even worse her ex steals from her and leaves her penniless and homeless. Frankie picks her self up and dusts herself off and then meets Guage. Guage has his own set of issues from his past that includes scars on the outside. Neither want a relationship but feel an avoidable pull to one another. Can they trust one another and find their HEA? I really enjoyed this book and give it 4 stars.
I would give this book a higher rating if I could. I honestly feel it was worth 12/5. This book I read in one day. Second Chances was a book that made me smile, made me laugh, and cry. I just couldn't get enough. If you are looking for a book that brings out every emotion I recommend this one. I found the character development to be above and beyond. Making the characters have such deep character flaws and such history just blew me away. When the characters went on a road trip I felt the wind blow through my hair. I can't wait to read more from this Author.
This is my first book of Roux Cantrell. And I have to say it was a Heartwarming story about Surviving your demons and learning to trust another person when you feel that life is at a end.. Frankie story had me in tears, but the love of Reese, Mick, Liam, Pouge and the thier ladies she had one good support system. Now Gauge was another story. I get he had demons also, but the way he kept playing hot and cold made me want to smack him. Wished it could be longer, Hated when i got to the end. Thank for a excellent Story
