Sue Ellison, Canada's best known, attractive, late 20's female detective works full time for Willis Investments, an Omaha firm specializing in food-grade trucking. When the company buys a firm with non-core assets like flat decks or tankers Sue finds a buyer for them. She is in Vancouver B.C. negotiating to sell Priority Decks, a Super-B flat deck fleet to Whelan Decks. She makes friends with Melinda Harris, Whelan's attractive late-20's Dispatcher. Whelan are interested, want Sue to hang around, give her the use of the Co. chalet at Whistler while they mull over an offer. She meets a long-haired boarder the first day on the slopes. He tells her a well-used phrase. "Some people come to Whistler to ski, others don't" She and Mel end up at Merlins night club. The boarder texts her, she leaves the club to be with him. The following morning he is charged with murder, Sue is his alibi. Willis are also heavily invested in Whistler, when a second murder, then a third one occurs reservations begin to cancel, he asks Sue to get involved.
