Herbert Spencer Zim (July 12, 1909 – December 5, 1994) was a naturalist, author, editor and educator best known as the founder (1945) and editor-in-chief of the Golden Guides series of nature books.
Everything was laid out very logically and flowed well - a good book to give a kid or someone just learning about caves. I wish there had been chapters to separate 1) the formation of caves 2) the animals that live in them 3) how people have used them, and I also wanted to know a bit more about that last section. Really, I can't complain, and the book did what it intended to do.
