Psalms for Times of Trouble by John Tully Carmody is a book of raw, no-holds-barred prayers to God from a man who is suffering from terminal bone cancer. Some excerpts (page 38) -
You have clouded my soul
ripped my fine dreams away.
What good does this do you, O God?

Another excerpt (page 41) -

Why do you tempt us to think you are not good?
...
Some days i wish
I had never been born.

Excellent book and an excellent aid to prayer....
