Often, an incident that happens to a person will deeply affect them for years afterward, and it sadly occurred to the main people in this romance with a compelling medical theme. Dr. Rex Maxwell endured an event when he was a teenager, and it altered how he wants to be perceived by others. A troubling family accident changed the life of Tiffani Romano, and having to interact with a doctor will recall bad memories. But to have better careers, these two individuals feel they must suppress any inner feelings for their own good. When a variety of circumstances gives Rex and Tiffani insight into what motivates the other, REDEEMING THE REBEL DOC becomes emotionally rewarding because of realistic developments. Susan Carlisle never disappoints when it comes to creating a captivating romantic story. I was totally immersed from the very beginning in the many situations that Rex and Tiffani had to face, and I became even more engrossed with each new episode.
Although countless surgeries had been successfully performed by Dr. Rex Maxwell, a family sued him for supposedly not doing everything he could to save a patient. While the lawsuit has been resolved, the hospital wants how they plus him are viewed by the community to be more positive, so a woman specializing in public relations is being brought in. Rex will have to be involved in the campaign since he is the reason for the negative opinions, and even though he would much rather concentrate on being a surgeon, he must comply.
By constantly hearing about her father’s previous experience with a doctor, Tiffani Romano has a preconceived notion about the man who needs her help. She just hopes the surgeon will follow all of her plans without too much arguing, as it will aid in her achieving several goals. While the ideas that Tiffani comes up with are not to Rex’s liking, it appears there is no way to avoid working closely with the determined woman.
There is so much to enjoy in REDEEMING THE REBEL DOC. Rex and Tiffani are a very animated couple. Their conversations are filled with clever comebacks, and both often seem to come out the winner. Numerous thoughts of these two were disclosed throughout the story which let me know what caused many of their reactions. A few of their responses were surprising, and I liked how they were always honest. Seemingly complete opposites when they first met, I was overjoyed if an event resulted in them looking more compatible, as it made me optimistic.
Susan Carlisle once again perfectly blends personal issues that challenge a relationship with convincing dilemmas to produce a constantly fascinating story. Anything that had to do with a medical problem is believably depicted, and I was definitely anxious during some of the more traumatic situations. Rex is a capable doctor, yet he lets the past rule part of his life, and Tiffani also has a history which influences her thinking. Questions need to be asked, and their futures could be directed by the answers.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of the book, and all comments are my honest opinion

I really enjoy Susan Carlisle’s stories they have lots of emotion and feelings throughout them and this one is so very good, we have a Doctor who seems to be a bit of a rebel doing as he wants and then we have a PR executive who seems prim and proper when they are put together to help improve our Doc sparks fly as they learn a lot about each other.
Doctor Rex Maxwell has been through a malpractice lawsuit over the last year and he has been told by his boss that it is time to change his image and help with the hospitals as well, he reluctantly agrees and this brings him in contact with the beautiful Tiffani Romano there are a few clashes at first but as they work together he sees what lies underneath and the attraction grows.
Tiffani Romano has broken up with her boyfriend and she is determined to do well with this assignment so as she can get a promotion and move away although she carries a big dislike towards Doctors in general nothing is going to stand in her way, that is until she gets to know the handsome Dr Rex and his caring ways. It doesn’t take long before her feelings for Rex are growing.
Rex and Tiffani are so very opposite to each other and it has pulled them together in a very sensual story, a story that shows true love and strength, I loved Rex from the start he is made out to be a rebel and a bit of a bad boy but really he is a true hero and Tiffani is such a beautiful person caring and strong, I loved her determination but I loved the way they both fell for each other, MS Carlisle knows how to bring her characters to life in these stories, this is one that I highly recommend.

4 1/2 STARS!
Susan Carlisle's Harlequin Medical Romance's are always a joy to read! She brings a character to life in the midst of medical situations that feel real and add a flair of drama to the plot that captures our attention and has us feeling like we've known the characters forever before we know it. With this particular book, we meet a pair of unlikely suitors who each have their own past that they are trying to come, while getting to know the other opens their eyes more than they ever expected to not only the other person, but also to some wrong thinking they've had about themselves over the years.
Rough around the edges doctor, Rex Maxwell hates coming across as anything other than the authentic person that he is, so when the hospital board brings in a PR firm to sugar-coat his image after he overcomes a year-long lawsuit, he feels like it's forced. He'll grin and bear it for awhile, but he doesn't have to like it!
Public relations guru Tiffani Romano has her own reasons for being less than thrilled about her current assignment at Metropolitan Hospital, but as time passes and she lets her guard down, she comes to realize Rex isn't quite the pompous guy she was expecting. The old saying about opposites attracting just might be true, because the air around them is practically sparking from the chemistry they have between them!

REDEEMING THE REBEL DOC by Susan Carlisle
Susan Carlisle wrote an wonderful story about 2 people that were most unlikely to get together. The Rebel Doctor is Rex Maxwell who has spent the past year fighting a lawsuit that he insisted he was not guilty of neglect in taking care of a man at the hospital. He was trying to get back to normalcy and now the hospital and their board of directors have hired a PR company to do a hospital campaign to improve their image.
In comes PR exec Tiffani Romano who has had her own family impacted by her father who had an motorcycle accident and lost his one leg and part of the other and was now in a wheel chair and he blamed the doctor and hospital. That hospital that Dr. Maxwell works at.
Plus she had her boyfriend dump her and was hurt by it all as she was in love with him. Tiffani’s mother had left the family with her siblings. She is having trouble with not letting Rex in and yet he is determined to get under her skin.
More and more as Tiffani sees Rex in action as a doctor makes her believe in the medical field and feelings that have been missing.
A doctor as a rebel riding a motorcycle, wearing torn jeans and has long hair - how to improve on that image.

Tiffani & Rex
I found this story an intriguing look at public relations. Tiffani was hired to rehab the hospital's and their talented surgeon's images after being slammed in the media as part of a malpractice suit. It was a very difficult assignment for Tiff, as she had been raised to mistrust medical professionals by her bitter, disabled father.
I loved the way the author used the spark of attraction between these two badly damaged people to get them to open up to each other and share their pasts. It was sweet to see how their individual experiences shaped them to understand and help heal the old wounds on their souls.
Rex, the surgeon, reminds me a bit of my brother-in-law, also a doctor. They hoth have a desire to help others so deeply ingrained in their personal identity that they don't see the profound difference they have made in the lives of their patients. I think that made it easier for me to relate to Rex in this book.

Put together surgeon who has had to overcome a malpractice suit with a public relations person hired to improve his image and you have a wonderful book that will heat up the pages. Rex Maxwell has no intention of changing himself to present a different persona to prove he is the talented surgeon he is all he wants is to be his rebel self, motorcycle , torn pants and long hair. Tiffani Romano wants a promotion and Rex is her shot at it all she has to do to prove herself is make a great pr for him and the hospital it will be hers. What neither figured on was the feelings that creep into their time together. Rex and Tiffani both have past issues that haunt them but Tiffani brings something missing into his life. Tiffani has issues with her dad and the medical field, put both together and Ms. Carlisle again has written a winning combo for this medical. She brings enough medical to show the wonderful doctor Rex is but it also oozes with feeling and all in all a warm, beautiful story.

"Redeeming The Rebel Doc" by Susan Carlisle was a wonderful, romantic, medical romance and just a good story. Dr. Rex Maxwell has been asked by the hospital to let a PR firm make him look good & make the hospital look good due to an incident that happened which turned into a lawsuit. He is introduced to Tiffany Romano and is not thrilled by what she wants him to do. He just wants to live a quiet life and do his job, she wants to publisize him in the media, and on billboards. Both have some incidents in their past that they are working on, and what starts off as reluctance turns into something much more.

Redeeming the Rebel Doc by Susan Carlisle is a Harlequin Medical February 2018 release by Susan Carlisle.
Where to begin? The dashing doctor #wowsers The really interesting backstory of Rex or the wonderful way the author has matched two opposites? Susan can write emotion, medical dramas and characters that are fresh and extremely likeable and I love it! Dr Rex Maxwell is not your normal, stereotypical Dr and Tiffani is a go getter who is determined to get her promotion and Rex is the answer! Of course if everything went to plan life would be boring and so I have to say, don't walk past this story for laughter, drama, wonderful characters and just jolly good reading!!!!
Love it!

Redeeming the Rebel Doc is exactly the pallet cleanser I needed after a less than thrilling books. I’ve been trying to finish books on my TBR that I’ve already started and, well, some of these books are just boring. I already DNF’d one book. So, this medical romance was refreshing. I’m also looking forward to reading more medical romances.

Redeeming the Rebel Doc by Susan Carlisle is a fun story about two people whose preconceived ideas are keeping them from truly getting to know each other. Readers enjoy the banter, the sexual tension, and the growth in each character as they move along the bumpy path to discovering love.

What a sexy, intense medical romance! Susan Carlisle knows how to hook you. That title alone invites you to take a seat and get lost in the world she has created. I’m in love with Rex Maxwell. His broody nature is compelling and Tiffani Romano stirs his soul until he becomes this perfect hero who has you swooning even after closing the book. Redeeming the Rebel Doc is a super sexy medical romance that is a fun experience from start to end. The characters command your attention from page one. With detailed prose that sparkles with wit and engaging dialogue that sucks you in, it would be impossible not to lose your heart in Rex and Tiffani’s strong, passionate romance!
