Against the historical backdrop of the rise and fall of maneuvering kings and warring empires in 1 and 2 Kings and 1 and 2 Chronicles, the fictional series Kingdoms traces the saga of the dedicated advisor Iddo and his descendants. As he remains loyal to the memory of King Josiah and labors to keep his nation faithful to the Lord, Iddo struggles to protect his own family. A new prophet emerges with visions of hope. Daniel faced death in the lions' den, but the Lord brought him out safely. Now the next generation of Israel experiences that same rescue and divine care as they begin the journey home. Returning to the land is one thing; restoring the temple -- the sign of God's presence and blessing -- proves to be a much more difficult task.
