I found this book a bit clunky in the writing and transitions between interviews with aircrew but the experiences of the Allied pilots who flew these anti-submarine missions over the Bay of Biscay, and their German quarry beneath it, were an intense chapter in the greater battle of the Atlantic in 1943.
Having read a lot about Guadalcanal recently and tying in with this book I need to read more about the amazing Sunderland & Catalina flying boats. While they definitely took their share of losses there are amazing stories of survival against extreme odds from these lonely hunters.

An interesting account of RAF Coastal Command's battle against the U-Boats and the Luftwaffe in the Bay of Biscay during WWII.
