CIA Agents #3

Toxic Seduction

Rate this book
As an MI-5 agent, Christine was the newest member of the London Anti-Terrorism Task Force. There was a terrorist attack with a lot of casualties by bomb blasts, which forced the United States to send one of their CIA Special Ops Agents, Jason, to track the bomber responsible. One look at him was all it took Christine to want to partner up, even though Jason doesn’t let women come in the way of his job. But there’s something about Christine that does, in fact, divert his attention. The longer he works on the case with Christine, the harder it gets to resist their desires, on and off duty. Tracking the bomber, they realize that it was just a smokescreen for one of the largest cover diamond heists in the past decade. They find that Warick, Jason’s contact in the diamond business, was behind the attack. It does look like Jason was giving the enemy information when they get caught in an ambush. Will Christine’s instincts overcome her thoughts, or will her feelings for Jason cloud her judgment? Christine doesn’t have much to go on except faith in Jason, but will she risk her life to save his, along with thousands of innocent people? Toxic Seduction is a romantic suspense novel and is book 3 of the Romantic Secret Agents Series. There are NO cliffhangers, NO cheating, and a guaranteed happy ending !

Toxic Seduction is book three in the CIA Agents series. I really enjoyed this title. I've read quite a few different books by Roxy Sinclaire and this one really surprised me. I am used to reading a lot of college romance themes from her and it was nice to read something a little different.

I was almost disappointed that there was romance in this novel. There was so much action and drama present that the romantic scenes almost seemed unnecessary.

I have not read the previous books, but I believe this to be a stand alone.

I recommend this book if you want something no-so-mushy in the love department and are looking for an exciting read. I definitely enjoyed it.

Toxic Seduction
Roxy Sinclair

A thriller romance novel that won't dissapoint. If you've been following Roxy and love her work. You will love her this newest novel.

For three years he's been following the bombings of a fantic named Ahmed Al-Farook. And he's no closer to solving the crimes and catching him then when he started the job. How will Jason ever catch him now that he might be in London? Now assigned to a M15 agent named Christine, whose seems a bit new but she has been catching things left and right that he never noticed before. And is his handler in London. Not that he minds at all. But he can't keep his head in the game with her around. When a lone gunner is gunning for him and her can he save her and catch his man too?

Toxic Seduction is a great romantic suspense. What do you get when you combine one inexperienced MI5 agent and a suave CIA agent? Suspense, chemistry and proof that the US and the UK really can work together when necessary.

Christine is an inexperienced MI5 agent who's been assigned to supervise a CIA agent while he's in the UK investigating a London bombing that has earmarks of a terrorist who's targeted not just London, but cities in the US and elsewhere in the world. Jason has been hunting Al-Farook for over two years. He's not about to lose him because he's been saddled with a young, inexperienced MI5 agent, even one as pretty as Christine. As the two work together to find Al-Farook, I was cheering because it became obvious that Christine was a badass agent - smart and intuitive. Jason, on the other hand, yikes, not nearly as smart as Christine.

Still, I really enjoyed Toxic Seduction. It's well written, well paced, sexy and Christine is awesome. Jason is kind of a dud, but Christine more than makes up for anything Jason lacks. Can't wait for more from Roxy Sinclaire!

I received an ARC for an honest review.

This is a fun story, and I liked the mystery of who the terrorist is, and the hunt to find the terrorist was entertaining. Christine is a smart cookie, who is an agent for MI5 in London, she is tasked with assisting American CIA agent, Jason, while he is in London searching for the terrorist. Christine is a good agent; except for the whole doesn't carry a gun thing and her stereotypes against Americans, but she great with finding clues and evidence. Poor Jason on the other hand is a horrible agent! Oh my goodness! I do not know how he hasn't already been killed! But, he is suave and good looking, so he has that going for him! Christine is immediately attracted to Jason, but she doesn't know if she can trust him or his instincts. The romance is cute, but the sex was tame; it's still good, but I just wanted a bit more; a bit more passion. I'm thinking it needed another sex scene or at least a heavy make out session, but it was nice, and the story is entertaining enough to make up for some of that. This book focuses a lot on the agents work, so there's some great action, and the suspense was great. Oh! And this story could've definitely used an epilogue. The ending definitely felt rushed to me. I listened to the audiobook version of Toxic Seduction, and the narrator did a wonderful job with her narration. She brought the story to life, and I'd recommend listening to the audiobook version over just reading it. All in all, a Fun read!

Suspense and romance! That is what I love about this series that Roxy Sinclaire has written. This one in particular was so much fun to listen to because of the characters. Christine is put on a case to help find terrorists only to find out that she is being paired up with a US Agent! Jason comes to England thinking he knows everything about the case he has been working on for years, and this young, green, British agent is just going to get in his way. Little does Jason know how smart and intuitive this agent is! Sinclaire has such well developed characters, so many twists and turns and lots of passion stored up in a short amount of time, it will fly by as you listen and make you want the next installment of this wonderful romantic suspense series! Sarah Puckett will draw you into this book with her narration(though I would have liked Christine to have an English accent). She will keep you on your toes as you listen and keep you wanting more!

Outstanding ! This is an intense, suspenseful spy mystery. There are mysterious bombings around the world of Diamond stores spanning three years. Jason is a CIA agent that has followed the trail of the suspected terrorist without much success. He flies to London to join forces with M15 agent, Christine. Together they investigate the latest bombing in London. I was mesmerized by the clues and tried to figure out who the mastermind was. Doubts were entertained about the truthfulness of Jason. Chemistry between the two agents also distracted the investigation. Breathlessly, I flipped each page unable to take a break. Surprising turns along the way kept thrilling excitement building. Both thumbs up! Amazing detective, spy adventure with a fascinating connection of two hearts. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Five Stars PLUS!

When it comes to books written by Roxy Sinclaire I expect a lot. I have read a lot from her and they have all been very well written. This story did not disappoint me. It is as always over the top. I like that she has made the heroine Christine a MI-agent. She meets the american CIA-agent Jason in a case they work on. They have to find terrorists and hunt them down to finish this case. They have a steaming chemistry between them and their feelings develop through the story. They are very complex characters that feels very realistic.
This story has it all. There are lots of drama, action, danger and of course hot scenes. It is really a great read from the first page to the last.
It could have taken place in our world today and that is very sad.

This is not the typical romance you are accustomed to as reader. This time you are thrown into the aftermath of a bomb attack in London’s diamond district and it is quite thrilling to watch how the investigation evolves.

As a counterpart you have the insta- chemistry between Jason, the CIA agent, flown in from the US to support the British MI5, and Christine, the young and almost inexperienced though very smart MI5 agent who has to babysit her American colleague.

These two opposites itself hold the tension on a very high level. But the author has a way of her own to create a mood to accentuate everything that happens…

Add some unexpected twists and you will not be able to put this fantastic book out of your hands!

4.5 stars This was an excellent contemporary romantic suspense. Christine is a young agent with the British MI-5 when she's given an assignment to basically baby sit a CIA agent from the United States. Jason (CIA ǹ) finds it hard to believe that Christine is an agent. Within a few days he realizes that having her as a partner is good because after following this terrorist for three years he missed some vital clues. Christine is observant but she and Jason come to a stand still because she is suspicious of Jason's good friend. The book keeps the reader involved from beginning until the end. I received a complementary copy of this book and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books by Ms. Sinclaire in the future.

This is the 3rd book in this awesome series, and is Christine and Jason’s story. Christine is an intelligence analyst for MI-5, and is assigned to the case after terrorist attacks. She is also tasked with babysitting Jason, a CIA agent from America. There is instant attraction between these two. This story is filled with deceit, secrets, lies, suspense, sex, and twists which had me hooked and intrigued from the very beginning.
This is well written and the story flows seamlessly. In my opinion, this is a definite must read, you will not be disappointed! Another amazing story Roxy!

This book is quite a thrilling read and does not disappoint. There is Jason a CIA agent who has been working the case of a fanatic who likes to blow things up. He believes he is now in London. Then there is his new handler, Christine, who is an MI5 agent. When she is around Jason loses focus. Can he catch this madman? Will he end up putting himself and her in danger? This was a great spy book. I enjoyed it and hope you do as well. Great series that are thrilling in more ways than one!

Very entertaining. The chemistry of these two is undeniable. Christine is a very smart agent but lacks field experience, forced to team up with Jason from another investigation agency, she shines with this opportunity. They already have a trust issue and have to fight through that, their attraction and find a killer before the next heist bombing. Jason is just as determined to solve this case & even more determined to take a chance for love.

***I voluntarily read this ARC to give an honest review*** Another great who "whodunnit" by Roxy. It involves an American CIA agent, Jason, and an MI5 agent, Christine. They were working together to find a bombing terrorist, Al-Farook who had killed many innocent victims in Africa, Chicago, and New York and now London. Jason had been on his trail for three years and requested to be the agent to assist MI5. Nice action with a bit of lovemaking thrown in to give it a little spice.

CIA & MI5 special operations to catch a terrorist with twist n turns and even some romance.

CIA Jason Kerns working a terrorist plot for three years n finally the bosses listen and the CIA are being called in by MI5 for their subject matter expertise. This was a heart-pounding romantic thriller! I really liked Christine's character - strong and confident, but realistic and not expecting to be a superspy in every way. I also liked Jason, and there were just enough twists and turns to keep him in the running as a suspect. Good overall romance, with an intriguing mystery to be solved! Christine works for MI5 as an intelligence analyst. After a recent terrorist attack she is assigned to the case. There's a catch though. She's going to be working with a CIA agent. Jason Kerns lands in London ready to investigate the recent terrorist activity and is face to face with Christine. Apparently she is tasked as being his new chaperone for the duration of the investigation. Neither are pleased with this situation nor the circumstances which have brought them together. Jason has been tracking the suspect, Ahmed Al-Farook, for years. Upon first sight, Christine is having trouble articulating her assessment regarding the suspect and subsequently, Jason feels he has been paired with an inexperienced agent. As time passes, Jason realizes, not only is Christine beautiful, she is also fierce and ready to go into battle, if need be.
There may be a different motive for the attacks other than hurting innocent people. Upon further investigation, it seems these terrorists are targeting the diamond district and that seems to correlate with recent activity in the US.
Given the brutality of the investigation, they begin their professional partnership. When new info comes to light they need to determine fact from fiction and assess all possibilities. They also need to control their mutually, mounting attraction. Too much flirting mixed with the already thick sexual tension could lead to mistakes and casualties. The practice of mixing business with pleasure is a very slippery slope, especially when they know the pleasure would be the best they've ever had. They will soon find they have much bigger problems on the horizon. Problems that begin to prove that all is not what it seems.
VERY COMPELLING, ORIGINAL STORYLINE WITH WELL THOUGHT OUT, COMPLEX CHARACTERS ! MANY TWISTS AND TURNS TO KEEP YOU ON EDGE ! AWESOME CHARACTER CONNECTION WITH SMOKING HOT CHEMISTRY ! ! ! GREAT THRILL RIDE !
AWESOME READ !

This novel could almost pass as a daily news article that we see, it's so sad that we can open a news website and it is no longer shock when you see another terrorist attack in a major city..just hurt and pain for those lost or injured.

This was a non-stop thrill ride loaded with action packed suspense that left you guessing until the final showdown. Christine is an MI5 agent and has been tasked with the job of helping American CIA agent Jason Kern hunt down and catch a terrorist who has just detonated a fire bomb in a London jewellery store. Their chase leads them to Antwerp where things are not quite as simple as they thought. Why are there snipers after them and why do they always seem to be one step ahead?

Don't miss this thrilling spy drama. The chemistry was scorching between Christine and Jason and they made a great team. I was fortunate enough to recieve an ARC and this is my honest review.

I loved the latest in the CIA Agents series from Roxy Sinclaire! An attack across the pond has Agent Jason Kern heading to London to help lead up the hunt for the man behind the attacks. When he arrives he isn't expecting the young agent Christine Simmons to be the agent from MI5 to be the one he's working with. This book is full of attraction, betrayal, mistrust and danger and I loved every minute of it. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
