This is a charming and humorous tale, published in English as The Biggest Sandwich Ever, by Gelman and Gerberg. I read a different translation, El Sandwich Más Grande, Jamás. The story and illustrations are pretty silly, in the best way. The language of the translation didn't sparkle with wordplay, alliteration, rhyming, or colorful word choice. Still, a worthwhile read for my son, a first grader in a dual-immersion program.
