This was pleasantly twee, full of pictures of pine-cones spray-painted gold and boxes carefully covered with plaid and other DIY holiday crafts of the 80s that I found the last word in sophisticated elegance when I was a child. Flipping through it added a lot of joy to my Christmas season and I am maybe a little tempted to gild some leaves or something this winter, just because -- why not?
