I found this at the public library and figured, why not? Well, the text itself is mostly ho-hum. Basically it's just profiles of CSNY, the Eagles, Linda Ronstadt, Jackson Browne, Joni Mitchell, Warren Zevon, and others, all done at the tail end of the '70s when none of them were working on their most interesting records. Everyone comes off the way you'd expect if you've read anything else about them, which isn't always great, and the writing is merely serviceable.
The pictures, however, are something else. I've seen some Henry Diltz photos in my day, and just about all of these were new to me. They span the whole decade and capture their subjects in a variety of settings. Kinda fun.

A great read about artists I love to listen to. I knew enough about the artists that I was able to appreciate the interviews and backstories. I wouldn't recommend it to someone who wasn't familiar with the music of the artists featured, though.
