I feel like I need to explain why I rated this book 2⭐️ which is something that I rarely do. For me, I couldn't suspend my belief enough to read this. It was almost a DNF, but I forced my way to finish and wished I had DNF this book by the end. Premise: The MC's are cops and DAs so your basic law enforcement story. However, it seemed that every conversation that happened in the work place started with suck my dick or who are you sleeping with. One, I find that highly unrealistic and two it's immature. Each conversation was a fight or accusation of sexual partners or just bitching. It seemed to me this was more frat house than professional law enforcement.

Beyond that, I was missing chapters of their lives. We were dumped right into the middle of drama. Friends not talking to each other, grieving, bickering. I just couldn't get into the story line to understand the depth of anger and hurt these MCs had because I didn't have the context.
