The book I read was a 1904 edition printed by AC McClug author Randall Parrish. The old color pages were still in the book (a few slightly detached) The copy was fairly good condition given its age.
This was a very interesting read. Giving off a lot of information of how people lived with Indians and the rough side of pioneering. Very enjoyable read.

A little known account of early colonial life

A well written story of what we call the Midwest was actually the wilderness frontier accompanied with all its frightfull sources of danger.
