THE BROTHERS DOBSON

The three Dodson's Joe, James and Lewis were went after the the ex-rebels who earned their living rustling cattle, robbing the ranch houses of any items they wanted. They always raped the women who lived on these farms..no shame. The Dodson's brothers gathered provisions and started the HUNT for the Colonel and his marauding band of cut throats; everyone was heading for the Indian territories where every hoodlum, thuggish perpetrators, who were wanted by the law his out.
The Dodson Brothers are asked to join the U.S. Deputy Marshal Service, by the "hanging judge"
Isaac Parker, who was the only federal judge who presided over the entire Indian territories, which at that time covered seventy thousand miles of lawlessness. The Dobson brothers carried out th apprehensions of the worse convicts in the entire country west of the Mississippi River. They didn't bother with the state of Texas, because of their Texas Rangers, who seem to be very territorial at that time.
Fast moving, lots of action these Dobson Brothers were teamed with the great Bass Reeves who showed and taught them what to do and not to do. It shows in their capture of these mal-contents what the brothers learned. We also must include the Native Americans who accompanied the brothers to help capture these monsters. The Native Americans could only arrest Indians who were wanted, not the whites who were hiding out in the territories. It's still a great contribution of western history..ENJOY

Hell or High Water In the Indian Territory

Anyone who loves the west will love this book. You could tell the language of the author vs the cowboy. Most of the cowboys I knew in the 60's and 79's would have been asking what "that" meant or would have taken offense. I must sat, I ended up crying before putting my tablet down. Thank you

The story lines were very good but the "wordiness" will drive you crazy, along with the redundancy. I've gotten so tired of hearing a man spit tobacco ot the window or taking a chew/cut of a plug of "Brown's Mule" tobacco which I assume was the same as the "Brown Mule" of my youth!
