Greatly enjoyed the book and learning more about the “Goose”. Being a Reformed believer who came to faith from the Roman Church I enjoy reading Church History that shows there is no such thing as an uninterrupted line of papal succession from Peter to Frances, and that any concept of papal infallibility is suspect.

This book is an absolute hoax, a shame on Christian scholarship, anachronistic, and sectarian. The first published edition was in the 1800s, and the publisher was involved in repackaging medieval legends. Being that John Hus died in 1415, this text lacks a real historiography. Poggio Bracciolini wrote about the death of Jerome of Prague in 1416, but did not appear to attend Hus' trial. If you want more proof, you can find a scholarly article from the early 20th century called "A Hard Hoax to Kill." I would give this zero stars if I could.
