Mix'n Business with Pleasure
Bevin Thomas is a Senior Vice President for a large media company she's worked at since she was just an intern in college. Her boss and mentor has seen her through the ups and downs in her professional career as well as her personal relationships. He entrusts her with overseeing a rather large, new building project, including working with the construction company that will complete the building enhancements. Bevin prides herself in keeping her professional life separate from her personal life, due to a past heartbreak in the workplace. She insists on keeping things strictly business only on this new project. She did not expect a handsome, blue eyed devil to throw a wrench in those plans. Jaxon Stewart loves to play, flirt and speak exactly what is on his mind. But, he also knows being professional is also key in keeping his business running. He can’t help himself, though. He simply must meet Ms. Bevin, by any means necessary, and let her know exactly what he thinks of her. She is stunning! When he’s asked to infiltrate the company Bevin works at to get information, to take over the company, he is conflicted because of his feelings for her. There also seems to be some other hurdles of past relationships and people lurking behind the scenes that are pulling some strings as well. Will Bevin and Jaxon be able to explore what can be between them and avoid the stumbling blocks in there way by Mix’n Business with Pleasure?

Heroine was very annoying and she ran hot and cold too many times. She meets the hero when he wakes her up at 7AM while painting the exterior of her house. The following day, at her job he's announced as the contractor hired by her boss for a major project and that they'd be working closely together. She accuses him of being a stalker. The hero explained himself but she kept bringing it up time and time again. Though I don't believe in coincidence, in this case it applies --the heroine's brother hired the hero to paint her house. The hero did not initiate contact to sell his painting services to her brother. I totally understood her initial reaction and wariness, but she wouldn't let it go. The heroine's brother was annoying as well, he acted like she was a 21 year old little girl, instead of 34 year old woman -- just way too protective -- more like a boyfriend than a brother.

Not for me
Sorry, Bevin was Too gullible for me. From the very beginning I said please don’t make her stupid, can’t she see this man is after something he is coming on too strong. After she agreed to dinner and the fake fiancé shows up I was proud of her for leaving him at the restaurant. But when he shows up at her house and she lets him in I closed the book couldn’t take anymore.

Business first
I enjoyed this book although Jaxson was a bit stalkerish throughout. His intentions were good but came across a bit strange. The story flowed really well and I read it in one sitting. Bevin was an interesting woman her internal dialogue was entertaining.
