Emergency surgery is a battleground for the surgeon - a source of skills, experience, character building, and glory. The beat book on surgery that I've read. Compact chapters and humorous, yet punctual language were a pleasure to read. I very much agree with the authors on simple, pragmatic attitude towards surgery.
