Okay, after spending 2 hours reading Divorced and Deadly… it’s time to read Revenge is Sweet by Claire Gillman.The cover where the scissors cutting the tie says it all. Another hilarious read that will guarantee you to roll on the floor laughing for hours.
Revenge is Sweet is a packed with tales of remarkable lengths people have gone in order to wreak their revenge. Sometimes on pure impulse, sometimes deliberated after years of resentment…and many more.
Let me quote something from the book:
1. Wedding Anniversary Sex
A husband and his wife had a bitter qurrel on their 40th Anniversary day. The husband yelled ” When you die, I’m going to get a headstone that reads ‘Here Lies My Wife-Cold As Ever’ ”
“Yeah” she replied. “When you died, I’m going to get a headstone that reads: ‘Here Lies My Husband-Stiff At Last”
2. Bedside Vigil
Jake was dying. His wife, Becky, was maintaining a candle-light vigil by his side. She held his fragile hand, tears running down her face. Her praying roused him from his slumber; he looked up and his pale lips began to move slightly.
“Becky, my darling,” he whispered.
“Hush, my love, rest, don’t talk.” she said.
He was insistent. “Becky, I have something that I must confess.”
“There’s nothing to confess. Everything is all right, go to sleep.” she said.
“No, no. I must die in peace, Becky. I… i slept with your sister, your best friend, her best friend, and your mother!”
“I know sweetheart.” whispered Becky.
“Let the poison work.” she added.
Revenge is Sweet is a lovely, hilarious read. A good guide for revenge too. :D Wanna get back at your boss without getting caught? Wanna get back at your husband for cheating on you? Wanna get back at your wife for two-timing you? This is the book to read!

Este es un libro de lectura fácil y liviana. En general trata sobre la naturaleza de la venganza. En su introducción hace referencia a investigaciones de carácter social y de conducta con hallazgos interesantes sobre el tema. El grueso de este libro se dedica a presentar anécdotas, artículos de periódicos, leyendas urbanas etc etc relacionados a situaciones de venganza con sus respectivas consecuencias. Algunas consecuencias fueron menores pero otras tuvieron un precio alto para sus ejecutores. Aunque no es una lectura de mucha profundidad ayuda a reflexionar sobre la naturaleza de la venganza y sus consecuencias. Lectura recomendada si desea leer algo con un toque "light".
