In the jungles of India, a pack of wolves discover a young boy. They name the boy Mowgli and protect him against dangers, including Shere Kan, the most savage tiger in the jungle. As Mowgli grows up, he learns the ways of the jungle from Bagheera the panther, the wise bear, Baloo, and other animals. Soon, he must decide whether to remain among beasts or embrace his own kind.

I've never read the full version of this story but I am familiar with the plot thanks to Disney. So I thought a comic of the book might be a fun re-introduction before I decided If I wanted to dedicate the effort in to the real version.

I was wrong. This was one of the worst things I have ever tried to read. It was awful. I suppose for kids (the intended audience) it might be not as bad. but for me, it was unpleasant to the extreme.

Dialogue only, with no inflection and the dialogue used to explain everything but only in the simplest terms and with as much pared down as possible. It was not a story it was a series of idiots telling me things as though I were stupid.

This abridgement of The Jungle Book in graphic form was actually pretty good, in telling snippets of Mowgli's story, but the dangers of shortening a longer work were apparent. Gerardo Sandoval's artwork was very good on the animals, but only so-so on Mowgli, who appeared to be wearing dreadlocks [or tentacles:].
Not as silly as the Disney version, but still kid-friendly.

This was a decent introduction to a classic for children.
