If you are a history buff, you will love this book. Norman Currey spent 47 years in the aircraft industry and offers so much history and insightful information. From his involvement in test flying to his experiences of viewing the tops of gorgeous clouds and snow-covered mountains… Norman really helps us immerse ourselves in his experiences throughout the years. He also offers a very deep knowledge and history of aviation. I was aware of the Wright Brothers, but did not know about Sir George Cayley (“The Father of Aerial Navigation,” “Father of Aviation,” and “The true inventor of the aeroplane…”). But thanks to this book I know more about both of them.
Wow, wow, wow, such an interesting read! I have a friend who is a massive aeroplane nerd and I definitely have to get one for him. A really detailed and historically sound book. The author clearly knows a lot about this subject. A must for fans of history and aviation.
