Wonderful read! These two remarkable women led such interesting and productive lives during a time when women were still supposed to just be homemakers. They became friends at at early age and remained steadfast in the friendship until Isabella died. They encouraged each other to tackle the tough issues in their lives and the world is a better place because of it. It was such an insight into not only Eleanor's involvement with the president's life, but Isabella had her influential moments also. Enjoyed this book and am now going to pursue a couple more books about these two women.
