Another one of those hi-lo books. The limits of creating a lexile 150 book mean that the story and characters aren't very well-developed. BUT, and it is a big but, the text is accessible to my babies who are in fourth-sixth grade who struggle with reading.

The best part of the story is when Winston meets the ghost of a Native American teen and takes a mellow midnight ride on horseback. I think this is the climax of the whole story. I love this part because this part is the most interesting and meaningful part in the whole story. My favorite part is Winston's emotional change, from being afraid to feeling quietly. Because it represented that Winston's heart had changed from resisting to liking.
