The bias i brought into this book was assuming this would be some debauched story held outside, apart from normie musician society, a punk memoir that’s worlds apart from Behind the Music-like accounts. And it kinda is. But it mostly isn’t. Cuz rest assured all the anecdotes herein were done by punks in boots & braces, but the mundane industry details are familiar and mundane. The real pearls are Shane’s sense of humor and connections he had with his mates. Luckily all this, now written & published, will survive the “mists of time,” as the now-deceased Baldwin would say
