Midnight Dreary is a collection of seven short stories. Featuring Stephanie Nelson, Lola James, Liz Schulte, C.G. Powell, Olivia Hardin, Mandie Stevens and Cait Lavender.
Stephanie Nelson resides in Illinois with her husband and their furry children. She began writing five years ago as a hobby and quickly fell in love with storytelling. She’s been teased about being a vampire due to her night-owl ways. However, she claims to only write about the fanged and not be part of their ranks. When she’s not working on the next Gwen Sparks or Anna Avery adventure, she enjoys: reading, traveling, playing the Wii and spending time with her family. The best part of her job is connecting with her readers.

The perfect type of stories that are often used as sit around the camp fire ghost stories. All of them in the collection worked well together. Each one has it's own charm. Spooky with a lot of interesting characters and plots, with some paranormal elements and mystery. The macabre is not overwhelming. Just the right amount that makes this a fun read and not just for Halloween.
if you like book that make you think you here thaw thing that go bump in the night this is the book for you each story was terrifyingly amazing I didn't sleep a wink because I had to keep reading and I admit I was scared.
Nice assortment of short and middle length stories based on works by Edgar Allen Poe. Some I recognized right away what work of EAP's the story was based on and others I had to really work to see the connection. Most of the stories I really enjoyed though.
